How to make a rectangular envelope with a “pocket” out of paper

We take a sheet of A4 format. We bend the upper corner down so that we get a triangle and a small rectangular strip of paper at the bottom. Cut off the bottom part. You should get a square with a diagonal fold.

Step 2

Fold the paper diagonally.

We bend the upper corner of the half closest to us down to the bottom edge of the sheet.

Step 3

Further, in order to fold the paper envelope with your own hands, you need to fold the left and right lower corners of the paper structure overlapping towards each other. You should get a classic “envelope”.

Press the fold points additionally.

Step 4

Bend the top corner outward to the edge of the envelope, press the fold. After that, straighten the resulting “tail” and bend it up. You should get a small rectangular pocket

How to make a triangle envelope out of A4 paper

Step 1

We take a sheet of A4 paper. For a do-it-yourself paper envelope, it is better to use medium-weight paper – it folds easily and holds its shape well.

The sheet must be placed vertically. We bend the upper left corner down so that the upper and right edges of the sheet of paper coincide.

It is better to press the place of the fold additionally so that the corners of the envelope turn out to be sharp.

Step 2

The next step is to fold down the upper left corner (the top of the resulting polygon). This must be done in such a way that its top coincides with the upper right point. You should get a kind of “house” with a large multi-layer “roof” and a low elongated single-layer “body”

The place of the fold also needs to be additionally pressed, this can be done using the handle of the scissors.

Step 3

The next step is connected with the bottom of the “house”. It is necessary to bend the right and left lower corners up so that they dock with the bottom of the “roof”.

The place of the fold is also better to press additionally.

Step 4

Next, we need to bend up the entire lower part of the “house”. This must be done in such a way that the beveled edges of the lower and upper parts coincide.

Step 5

In the multilayer “roof” we separate the very first, upper “pocket”, and carefully fill the lower part there along the bent line.

Ready! We’ve got an original triangular envelope, ideal for both writing and wrapping a small flat present!

How to make an envelope out of ruffled paper

Step 1

We take a thick sheet of A4 paper. We bend the lower right corner up so that we get a triangle and a small rectangular strip of paper at the top.

Step 2

We bend the upper right corner down to the fold line with the “big” triangle.

Step 3

On the right side we have a triangle. With a knitting needle or other sharp object, draw a line along the ruler at its base. And then – bend inward along the resulting line.

Step 4

Now the triangle has formed at our bottom. We do the same with it – we draw a line at the base and bend it up. The side lines of the right and lower triangles should match. The fold lines need to be additionally pressed.

Step 5

The lower (large) triangle must be bent at an angle down and folded in half.

Press the fold lines well.

Step 6

We straighten the sheet. We leave only a small corner bent. We put the sheet so that this folded corner is on the upper left side, with the folded side towards the table.

Step 7

In the lower right corner along the fold line diagonally with a knitting needle, we put marks at a distance of a centimeter from each other. After that, we draw diagonal lines along these marks with a knitting needle.

Step 8

On the drawn strips, we bend a sheet of paper alternately inward and outward to make an “accordion”.

Step 9

Fold the sheet in half vertically.

Step 10

We put a sheet of paper so that the “accordion” is in the upper right corner. Along the fold lines on the left, you need to wrap the triangles inward. This must be done in such a way that a standing structure is obtained.

Step 11

Using a ruler, draw a horizontal line in the middle of the bottom. After that, wrap the lower part of the paper structure inward.

Step 12

The next step is to fold the standing part down and to the left.

Step 13

We bend the upper part – the “lid” of the envelope – down and glue it.
