Your favorite corner in the house will become noticeably cozier and more joyful if such a pink and fluffy lamp appears in it.

To make it you need: mirror bracket (IKEA), aluminum wire blanks, decorative feathers, PVA glue, mesh, silver paint.

DIY sconces

  • Lighting fixture in the interior: this is how a work corner might look like.
  • The homemade lamp is adjustable and can illuminate the table surface at the desired location.

  • Wire blanks are attached to a bracket taken from the mirror. It turns out the frame of the future lampshade.
  • A circle of such a diameter is cut out of the mesh to ideally cover the metal frame.
  • The metal frame is covered with a mesh circle. Align the edges if necessary.

  • A thin wire is wrapped around the edges of the mesh around the bottom edge of the frame, as if “sewing” it. A needle and thread can be used instead of wire.
  • The electrical wire is passed through the mesh as close as possible to the hole for the fasteners so that the light bulb hangs in the center.
  • Tools and materials that will be needed to make the lamp.

  • The ends of the wires are fixed in the holes of the cartridge and snapped into place (this is a “snap-on” fastener). If the cartridge is old, then the wires will have to be fixed with a screwdriver.
  • The cartridge is fixed on a wire arc in the center of the mesh dome. The ends of the arc wire are attached to the holes in the ends of the bracket.
  • The feathers are smeared with glue and inserted one by one into the mesh cells, starting from the bottom rows. Fasten the bracket.

  • So that the electrical wire does not stand out against the background of metal fittings, it is covered with silver paint.
  • The wire is passed through the holes in the bracket so that it does not interfere and spoil the overall view.
  • Screw in light bulb… The lamp is ready!
