Cartoons are coming
Such a “cheerful” door is suitable for a teenager’s room or for an apartment where cheerful pop art lovers live. As a starting point, we chose a ready-made poster with a funny face from a popular cartoon. The main decorative materials are self-adhesive tape, old vinyl records and CDs.

To create such a masterpiece, improvisation is good. You can, of course, work according to the sketch. But it is better to dream up and arrange the ribbons of the film as you like.
1. The edges of the poster are attached to the door with wide tape cut from glossy white self-adhesive paper.
2, 3, 4. A composition is created from self-adhesive strips of red, black and white colors, after having laid out the “ornament” on the door.
5. Japanese characters can be cut from film and glued, hand-drawn, or stenciled.
Thoughts with stamps
To create this kind of decor, you need stamps … from cookies. The technology is not easy. The bottom layer of the cookie should be slightly saturated with paint, but not soak, otherwise the “stamp” will fall apart. You can, of course, use the usual art stamps. But they are expensive, and there will be no such freedom of choice of drawing.
Author of the project: Elena Haricheva.
The graphic design follows the pattern of traditional door panels. The only color – purple – has a grayish tint. For work, choose cookies with a simple geometric pattern so that it is easy to read when printed.
1. With the help of masking tape, a stencil is created for frames with a width of 0,5 cm. In this case, acrylic paint is used.
2, 3. The edges of large rectangles and a gray strip at the bottom of the door are pasted over with masking tape and painted over in the middle.
4. The cookies are pressed against a sponge, held for about a minute and quickly imprinted.
5. To create stamps, you need a soft foam rubber sponge well impregnated with medium-consistency paint.
6. After the drawing dries, it is lightly rubbed with a sandpaper.
Village aristocrat
In this case, the main role in the visual perception of the door is played not so much by decorative coatings as by the form of panels and platbands. The design looks very elegant and even aristocratic. It will perfectly fit both classic interiors and country style.

The main task when decorating a door is to properly sand the surfaces near the lock and handle, as well as the central parts. These are the very places that a person most often touches. The corners should be slightly darker.
1, 2. The surface of the door is sanded. Then the door is covered with white alkyd paint, which will act as a primer.
3, 4. A gray-brown acrylic paint is applied and allowed to dry. An additional layer is applied to the bottom of the door.
5. Then they are passed over the surface with sandpaper, creating an aging effect. Near the handle and in the center, they skin harder.
6. Finally, the door is covered with Petri Silky Polyurethane Varnish.
Sunny flowers
One of the technologies for decorating various objects is decoupage. For such work, thin fabric or thin paper is more suitable. The plots cut from these materials are fixed on the surface using a special decoupage glue-varnish. In this case, we used glue from the Hobby Line series from S. Kreul (Germany).

Such a door will look great in a country house or in an apartment whose owners love bright, contrasting combinations of colors and textures. The main stake here is made on the decorative effect of the fabric pattern and color dynamics.
1. The upper part of the door (one third) is covered with yellow acrylic paint with a wide brush. Let it dry.
2. On the rest of the surface, gently lay out and level a cotton cloth slightly moistened with water.
3. The glue varnish is applied with a wide brush in several layers so that it impregnates the fabric well and adheres it to the door surface.
4. The upper, yellow part of the door is lightly sanded.
5, 6. It is better to emphasize the relief of the border with white paint.
