DIY interior decor

Bench spare

A great idea for those who cannot decide on the color scheme of the interior. Leave the room white and get a few sets of replacement furniture covers. They are able to radically change the mood of the interior. For example, white or plain covers will give it a solemn look. Covers with a cheerful pattern will create an informal party atmosphere. In autumn and winter, chairs can be dressed up in warm “suits” made of wool or fur.

Striped flight

When decorating the interior with your own hands, the main thing is to set the correct starting point, which will then dictate the entire interior decor. In this case, the fabric with red and white stripes was taken as a basis. First, a roll curtain was sewn from it. Then – a “skirt” under the sink. Then her drawing was repeated in the fridge painting. The finishing touch is the bright red accessories. The kitchen is ready.

For a rainy day

The black and black room of American designer Jonathan Adler … is fresh and pleasant. This effect is due to the bright textiles of the color of juicy lime. The author liked its shade so much that he even dyed the traditional bamboo chairs from the dining set to match the Roman curtains and carpet.

The heyday

Yellow plus green is a cheerful combination that is suitable not only for children’s rooms. Bright saturated colors, spring shades of the first greens, golden dandelions are the freshest trends of the season. To prevent the contrasting interior from falling apart, all objects are connected by color. For example, a Roman shade is sewn from the same fabric as the headboard and edged with braid that matches the wallpaper.

On the panel!

The decoration of this living room is dictated by the decor of the window (and not vice versa, as is usually the case). Japanese sliding panels are adorned with Japanese pine prints. The same pattern – on sofa cushions (large format printing on fabric with a resolution of 360 to 720 dpi – Magicprint, t. 232 0717). The image of the interior is not destroyed, even when the window is open (the panels are collected upward according to the principle of Roman blinds). It is worth removing them, as the window overlooks the Japanese garden. And there … that’s right, all the same pines.

Patchwork gloss

It turns out that the patchwork technique, invented by people out of poverty, is suitable not only for peasant huts, but also for luxury hotels. Confirmation – number in Paris The Bellechasse, designed by Christian Lacroix. The patchwork look is inspired by contrasting fabrics and floor tiles, Cerafrance, from the Patchwork collection (salon “Greta Wolf”, v. 205 1813).

Stand by the wall

The canopy (from Italian baldacchino – silk fabric from Baghdad) is an elegant ceremonial canopy over a throne or a ceremonial box. It takes many different forms these days. For example, this one. The gloomy look created by the dark lining is softened by the chicken foot suiting fabric. And the “cage” evoking associations with a warm Scottish rug.

Passing score

Corridors are not liked in Russia today. Apparently, the people still have unpleasant memories of the communal past. It’s a pity. The corridor can be one of the most interesting places in the house. If, of course, you decorate it properly. It is a great idea to drape the walls and ceiling with fabric in the manner of a tent.

Will have to blush

Red is the color of passion. This bedroom is more active than sleep. By the way, the red interior has another secret. He knows how to drive people into paint. And in the literal sense of the word. In such an environment, no one will ever look pale. Do you want to check for yourself?

High Matter

The bedroom in this quintessentially Victorian home is an example of expert fabric work. With the help of textile décor, the cramped space under the roof slope has been transformed into a cozy nest for two. The ceiling and walls are decorated with panels of striped fabric. Curtains for built-in wardrobes are also sewn from it.

Property division

The most painful question of our time sounds like this: “We made an interior with a fashionable open plan layout (the living room starts right from the front door), but after a couple of months we realized that it is impossible to live without a normal isolated hallway. What to do?” The simplest answer is to fence off the entrance area with a curved cornice (sold in any curtain shop) and a curtain on the rings.

A curtain!

There are many ways to decorate walls with fabric. The simplest and most effective is in front of you. Cornices hang around the entire perimeter of the room (including bookcases), on which there are sheets of fabric sewn together. It is not only beautiful but also practical. If necessary, the curtains can be easily removed and dry-cleaned.

Black and white

If color is not your forte, but at the same time you do not want to live in a pale environment, there is only one way out – to rely on black and white. This classic combination has never let anyone down. Designer Sue Timney chose it to decorate the terrace of her London home. She decorated the wall with a panel made of strips of black and white silk. And then she continued this theme by painting the doors and floor. So that such an interior does not look too intrusive, it must be supplemented with at least one bright detail.

One to one

They say that people who live together for a long time become similar over time. This also happens with furniture. And, I must say, it suits her. For example, a picture from a lambrequin can migrate to the walls of the bath. (Plumbing painting is done by artists from art studio “Aroma of color”, t. 778 4587)
