French manicure can be done at home. To make it even and neat, use purchased or self-made stencils, they guarantee the clarity of the lines and the beauty of the manicure.

Varnishes and stencils: everything you need for a manicure

The easiest option is to purchase a ready-made French manicure set. It includes varnishes of different shades and a fixing coating, as well as paper tips for drawing a straight smile line. But everything you need can be purchased separately. Choose pastel colored enamel and heavy white polish to highlight the white ends.

Instead of the usual pastel jacket, you can try on an original bright manicure

Pay special attention to stencils. For a classic manicure, you need arc-shaped strips, they allow you to draw a smooth, rounded smile line. With the help of hand-made stencils, you can change the design of a French manicure. Round stickers will help create a tighter bend, zigzag ones guarantee an original pointed jacket. Cut out blanks from paper tape, it adheres well to nails and does not leave marks.

Before you start your manicure, make several options for the stickers and try them on, choosing the perfect one. Prepare stickers for all your nails and make a few spare ones: this way you can not be distracted, and the manicure will turn out neat.

French manicure is very picky about the condition of the hands and nails. The plates should be perfectly flat, without spots, stripes and grooves. If your nails look perfect, use translucent polishes. For those whose plates are less well-groomed, dense opaque enamels are suitable, hiding minor imperfections.

Remove cuticles and burrs, walk along the side rollers with a special file that removes keratinized skin. Align the plates with a buffing bar. Correct the length and shape of your nails. Apply two coats of a leveling quick dry base to the plates.

Try the simplest but most beautiful version of the jacket. Cover your nails with a layer of background polish – beige, cream, or light pink. Dry it and glue the tips that highlight the smile line. You can try a combination of French and moon manicure by attaching paper stencils just at the base and tip of your nail.

Act in sync, performing all operations on one hand at the same time. This will help you achieve a symmetrical pattern on all nails.

Cover the selected areas with dense white enamel. Choose a varnish that can be applied in one coat. It is most convenient to do this with a thin flat brush: a round brush can leave stripes on the nails. Do not apply too thick a layer of enamel, otherwise the excess will flow under the stencils.

Dry the varnish and peel off the tips. Cover your nails with a drying top. To keep your nails fresh, the top coat can be renewed daily.
