DIY festive kitchen decor
Any interior can be quickly updated by simply picking up a different set of accessories. Our designer proves this in practice, changing only one detail in the dining room – chair covers. A great and quick solution for a festive room decor.
Festive decor: red and white
To make such a cover, you will need two types of fabric – plain and printed, as well as a silk ribbon matched to them. This tape will become a decorative edging and straps, with the help of which the cover elements will be securely fixed on the chair. By the way, the proposed red and white version is nothing more than a reason for reflection.
Color and ornamental combinations can be any. The main thing is that the individual parts of the cover are in harmony with each other.
Festive decor: contrast of black and white
Festive dining room decor: contrast between black and white
This design option is composed of two elements: a short cover that covers part of the back of the chair, and a cushion that simply rests on the seat. (Note: If you attach the pillow to the base of the back with straps or ribbons, the chair will be much more comfortable to use.)
As a variation on the same theme, we propose to consider a set of a short cover for the back and cushions, which differ in design, but are combined in color.
Party decor: multicolored stripe
Festive dining room decor: colorful stripes
And here the designer decided to leave the back of the chair visible and make the cover with an eye to the existing upholstery. And first, a geometric companion pattern appeared – a strip, and then a color scheme was set – a combination of white, pistachio, brown and gray.
In conclusion, the shape of the future cover was determined. The pattern is based on a cape, however, supplemented with some details (otherwise the product would be difficult to fix on the seat).
Festive decor: coattails and bows
Festive dining room decor: coattails and bows
This design is especially suitable for family celebrations. Please note: the decor consists of two components.
First, the chair is covered with a transparent cloth (it is best to use organza, which is draped with light air folds), and then – with an “apron” made of the same material as the tablecloth. And in order to give the resulting two-layer cover an even more elegant look, a silk ribbon bow is sewn or pinned to it from behind.
