DIY coffee table decor
By and large, all people are alike: two arms, two legs, torso, head. But this is outside, but inside … There are so many differences that it is just right to publish manuals-translators from female to male, from children to adults. So why do we need to use the same items? Let everyone choose a table to their liking.
Table decor
Bought a table – plant a tree!
It is high time to protect the human environment from the person himself! So designers are worried about environmental problems. By constructing energy efficient homes, furniture and interior décor from renewable materials, they are encouraging humanity to consume wisely. Each of us is able to use energy-saving lamps, refuse plastic bags, give preference to products in eco-friendly packaging. The extremely laconic design of this table also contributes to the protection of nature.

I’m not a bear, but a cloud
The world of children is not like the world of adults. What is just a bed or a table for us is, for a kid, a pirate ship or an uninhabited island full of treasures. Dreaming is all the more interesting, the brighter and more fabulous the environment around. For example, an ordinary wooden table can be a playground for the most exciting games.

- The blue sky and clouds are painted on the tabletop with acrylics.
- Figures of animals are cut out from children’s magazines and attached to the picture with the help of PVA glue. When the paper parts take their place, they are covered with a thin layer of PVA glue on top, which will become transparent when dried.
- The edges of the funny figures are slightly shaded and details are added – airy dandelions in their paws.
- Green acrylic paint is applied to the legs of the table and part of the table top.
- On one edge of the table, plastic molds for small things are fixed with self-tapping screws.
- The railroad is fixed along the edge of the pattern with superglue. A crocodile is being “put” nearby. Ready!
Natural beauty of materials, natural colors, cozy checkered textiles, stuffed animals on the walls – all these are attributes of the so-called hunting style. Our table, designed in the spirit of a hunting lodge, is not only decoratively attractive, but also serves as a lamp. The resulting item is small and easy to move to the desired location. An interesting feature: one leg, replaced by a baluster, repeats the shape of a table lamp leg, making the whole composition look harmonious.
- A hole is drilled inside the baluster. An electrical cord fixed in the cartridge is pulled through it.
- One leg of the table is sawed off, and a second baluster is “planted” in its place with the help of a dowel and glue.
- The fabric cut to size (taking into account the fold) is fixed on the back of the tabletop, starting from the corners. To do this, use a furniture stapler.
- The lampshade is made of white cardboard and fabric, which is fixed to the cardboard with masking tape.
- Having drilled a hole in the center of the tabletop, an electrical wire is passed through it. The lamp is fixed from below in several places with self-tapping screws. The wire with the switch is fixed with special fasteners and brought out to one of the table legs.
- It remains to cover the wooden parts of the table with a walnut stain and fix the antlers at the base of the lamp. Ready!
