DIY candlesticks for Christmas candles

A few more New Year’s ideas for the interior and suburban area – from the magazine “Home”. We have a whole week left to bring our favorites to life!

If you celebrate the New Year outside the city, you will have to decorate not only the house, but also the area adjacent to it. Our tip: Use more candles in your decor. On the street, they are not as dangerous as indoors, and for candlesticks you can take improvised material – branches, pieces of bark, wooden cuts and cones.

Tealight candlesticks are made from pieces of a tree trunk sawed lengthwise. The core of the pieces of wood was partially removed, forming a hollow the size of a candle. The halves were connected and tied with decorative twine.

If you do not plan to put a spruce, an interesting composition can be created from a coniferous garland, light bulbs, traditional socks and multi-colored boxes. No socks – bags will do, as well as textile bags and wicker baskets.

On holidays, the home ladder becomes doubly useful. This is both a suitable place for storing gifts, and a tribune, standing on which, some toddler will tell a rhyme about winter.

If you are tired of purchased Christmas tree decorations, you can show originality and make them yourself from felt. This material does not crumble, and such openwork garlands are obtained from it.

The festive table also requires attention. A universal decor – candles will be appropriate here. Depending on the theme of the celebration, they can be decorated with a snowflake, heart or flower.

Different-sized jars (from IKEA) for storing all sorts of things are also suitable for decorating the interior for the holiday. Behind their glass, you can temporarily settle a Snow Maiden, an angel, a gold star, Christmas balls, as well as sweets and candles. The list of inhabitants can be expanded or changed at your request. Glass containers convenient to use as a gift wrapping if you are visiting.
