DIY bouquet of toys: a gift from Santa Claus
The Santa Claus hat is a traditional home decoration on New Year’s holidays in many countries of the world. Our master class will help you create this festive composition with your own hands.
DIY bouquet of toys
We will need:
- fabric – fleece red,
- branches of ilex (aka holly, holly),
- small Christmas balls, cones, apples, confetti,
- cotton wool, needles, ribbons,
- piaflor (oasis – a special porous sponge for creating floristic compositions),
- mayonnaise bucket, duct tape, stapler.

Step 1. The most important element of our composition is the red cap. In order to make it, we cut the fabric into two equal pieces of a triangular shape, and then we connect the edges with a stapler. We turn it over to the front side so that the seams from the stapler are not visible.
Step 2. How can there be a Santa Claus hat without a luxurious white border? Using the same stapler, we attach cotton wool to the edges of the cap.
Step 3.Using adhesive tape, we fix the soaked piaflor in a bucket of mayonnaise. In piaflor we will insert various elements of decoration for our composition.
Step 4. Insert the floral wire into the cones. This is necessary so that later they can be fixed in the piaflora.
Step 5. We decorate our cap with needles. Fresh needles are the main decoration of any New Year’s composition.
Step 6. Insert ilex twigs into the cap. Bright red berries will decorate the composition and make it truly original. If the branches are long, they must be trimmed before being placed in the piaflor.
Step 7. Insert ribbons into small balls so that you can decorate our cap with them. Christmas balls will add New Year’s charm to the composition.
Step 8. Real fruits will also decorate our composition. We put apples on sticks and place them in piaflor.
Step 9. We continue to decorate the composition. Balls, cones, fruits, berries, confetti – Santa Claus himself can envy such a luxurious cap!
