Distance is a unique tool for achieving goals. The distance organically fits into everyday life, this is a training that flexibly adapts to the goals of the participants. The Distance exercises are run in the real life of the participants and may change along with the change in their plans. The technique is universal for everyone, but each person will have their own distance.
The Distance program resembles a school with a flexible program. On the one hand, there is a Base at the Distance: a set of exercises that are mandatory for everyone.
The ancient Greeks were convinced that every person should be able to read, write and swim. Distant people are convinced that every developed person should establish time tracking and a healthy lifestyle, put their finances in order, master the Total Yes in order to learn to hear the reasonable in the words of the interlocutor, and move into the position of the Author in order to replace problems with tasks, live in the mode of internal Good , become an effective and loving person.
The base consists of five levels, at each level there are four exercises: three main (working) and one auxiliary, where reconnaissance takes place, preparation for future work. The key points of the methodology are the composition of exercises, the sequence of exercises, the organization of a reasonable load, the organization of effective independent work when practicing exercises and common work at weekly meetings.
. The main requirements for the Distance exercises are ease of implementation, high efficiency and observability (objectivity) of the results. The best exercise is the one that you can master in a week, get really pleasing results and have validation from significant others. The observability of the results obtained is usually thought out in advance when formulating the ORM: the volume of the planned result.
. Work goes from simple to complex, and mastering each exercise should help master the next, more difficult one. Many of the initial exercises are important not so much for life as preparation for future successful work on oneself. Of exceptional importance is the ability not to strain in the face of difficulties (to maintain relaxation), the mastery of the “Mistake” exercise, to decompose a complex task into smaller ones and to praise oneself for small achievements. For many people, the “Total YES” exercise turns out to be unexpectedly important, removing negativism in front of the Must and the unconscious impulse “If it is necessary, then I can’t, I don’t want to and I won’t.”
. Too light work discourages, too much work leads to the fact that a person leaves the Distance. Distance students often want to take on the most difficult tasks — and more, the leader’s task is to orient them to a reasonable number of exercises (usually no more than three) and simpler exercises: the feeling of success creates the basis for future effective work. It happens that a remote participant has already done some exercises in one way or another, in connection with this, three exercises are taken in a different status: one for reconnaissance, only looking at him, one for the main work, doing exactly on his emphasis, and one for soft clearing in the background.
For example, the first task can be set as follows. “Andrey, Lyuba, I am sending four exercises of the Distance course. I suggest starting them from tonight by going to bed on time as much as possible today, making notes in the diary of emotions from tomorrow morning: you can do this on sheets of paper, you can download the free Mood program for iPhone, it will be even more convenient. Also, from tomorrow, the general squats for Netki begin, while paying attention: it’s pointless to just squat. If you set yourself the task of removing Netka inside yourself — you will remove it quickly, if you only play it while serving your service — it’s better not to do this at all, because there will be no result. Only honest work is possible here, so it’s better to take half an hour and take care of yourself honestly for half an hour than to watch yourself for a whole day, but in fact your head was busy with something else. Gather — do it. Take short periods of time, but in these periods, watch yourself well. Every time we work honestly and every time there must be success. It is optimal to work with several exercises so that one loads the head, the other the body, the third the soul. For example, an exercise for the body (Royal posture), for the mind (Remove the no-ki) and for the soul (Don’t play the Victim). At the same time, each time the work goes on with only one exercise, for example, one exercise in reconnaissance, one in active work, as the main one. The work of distance students is organized by written contracts (usually for a month), daily diary entries, help from partners and weekly reports — written and oral at a general meeting. There are similarities to coaching in the Distance, but coaching is only part of the Distance methodology. In coaching, the client himself does all the main work (sets goals himself, looks for means himself), the coaching consultant only supports him in this work. Leading Distances in their work use both coaching and mentoring — a mentoring method. When necessary, the facilitator as a specialist can give qualified answers to distance students to their questions, suggest means and methods for effectively achieving results, evaluate the quality of the exercises and demand their improvement to the desired level, set challenges for distance participants: new and difficult goals, which they could not decide on their own.
The relationship between a distance student and a distance leader is a mutual voluntary choice. A remote worker chooses to follow the leader’s recommendations if he believes in his experience and professionalism, the leader chooses to work with a remote worker if he sees that he works honestly and efficiently, works efficiently.
