We will tell you how to optimize the process and avoid common mistakes that you probably encountered when loading the dishwasher.
If you had an appetizing lasagna with an equally tasty red wine for dinner, then you probably know how difficult it is to clean the dishes from the remnants of melted cheese, and the glasses from red stains. Plus, there are more important things in life than spending the rest of the evening at the sink. In this case, you can entrust all the dirty work to household appliances, and you yourself can watch an exciting movie with a loved one or educational games with a child. But if you want your dishes to really sparkle clean, then check if you are actually using the dishwasher correctly?
1. Pre-rinse
In fact, experts believe that pre-rinsing dishes is not necessary at all. But, of course, you should remove food leftovers so that they do not clog the dishwasher. This does not apply when you start the car right away. If you don’t have enough dirty dishes, you can use the quick wash cycle or half load. In this case, you will also save water.
2. Incorrect arrangement of dishes and cutlery
Most of the time, everyone tries to put their cups and plates facing each other, but this is wrong. In order for the PMM to deal more effectively with food debris, the dishes must be loaded in such a way that the most contaminated surfaces are as close as possible to the water spray. As for cutlery, if your dishwasher is not equipped with a special container, then the knives must be loaded neatly with the blades down, the forks with the prongs up, some of the spoons with the cuttings up, some with the cuttings down. But as for wooden spoons, it is generally better to wash them by hand, otherwise they may crack.
3. Incorrect loading of pots and pans
Many people load large bowls, pots, pans and cutting boards into the very center of the PMM, thereby blocking the stream of water. It is better to place large-sized kitchen utensils closer to the edges or pre-rinse them with your hands. This way it will be much easier to clean them. The same goes for trays and trays. They also need to be placed on the sides or in the bottom compartment of the dishwasher.
4. Reboot PMM
If you have had a banquet or simply have too many dirty dishes accumulated, do not try to wash everything in one go. If you reset the dishwasher, it will be more difficult to handle the kitchen utensils, so the quality of work will definitely not satisfy you. To ensure that water and detergent can easily reach any dirty surface, make sure there is sufficient space between the dishes.
5. Incorrect loading of detergent tablets and use of rinsing agents
It will not be superfluous to remind you that detergent tablets (or other means) must be placed strictly in a specially designated compartment. After all, as you know, the dishwasher cycle is programmed in advance, so the detergents will begin to take effect at the time strictly allotted for this (not earlier, not later).
Rinses, on the other hand, can help make your dishes sparkle and even cleaner. Therefore, they play an important role in the work of modern PMM.
