Disgusting, healthy, not coffee, but soup: how people react to Broccolatte

Australian scientists have taken care of the problem of insufficient consumption of vegetables by their compatriots and have figured out how to solve it. They invented broccoli powder to be added to coffee.

This powder is 100% broccoli, meaning whole cabbage is used for its production. In addition, processes are used to create broccoli powder, which ultimately retain the natural color, smell and nutrients inherent in fresh broccoli.

Why broccoli? “Broccoli powder is high in protein and fiber and is rich in so-called “bioactive phytochemicals” that have a positive effect on health.“- noted the head of this study, Mary Ann Augustine.

In addition, she said, such a powder has already been used to produce extradited snacks with a high vegetable content. Also, this product can help farmers reduce the amount of “ugly” vegetables that have to be thrown away due to the “non-marketable type”. That is, these vegetables will simply be used for the production of powder.

A café in Melbourne, Australia, has already added broccoli latte to its menu. The reviews were both positive and negative. Some users on social networks said that the taste of this drink is disgusting, while others suggest that coffee with broccoli is nothing more than a regular soup. There are those who support this broccolatte, pointing out the beneficial properties of the broccoli drink.

In turn, the developers emphasized that if the majority of Broccolatte does not like the taste, then the powder can be added to some soups and pastries. Would you like to try Broccolatte, tell us in the comments.
