Diprogenta is a complex preparation in the form of an ointment or cream, which consists of two active substances – gentamicin and betamazone. The first substance is an antibiotic with an antibacterial effect, the second is an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid. Diprogenta is used topically in dermatitis complicated by secondary bacterial infection.

Diprogenta – indications for use

The drug is used for treatment skin inflammations which are complications of secondary bacterial infections. It is indicated for the fight against bacteria sensitive to the active substance of the preparation – gentamicin. It is used to treat conditions such as:

  1. burns,
  2. blemishes,
  3. lichen planus,
  4. heat rash,
  5. atopic dermatitis (AD),
  6. dermatitis caused by solar radiation,
  7. seborrheic dermatitis,
  8. chafing, exfoliative dermatitis,
  9. contact dermatitis.

Diprogenta – contraindications to use

The drug cannot be used in the following circumstances:

  1. allergy to any of the ingredients of the preparation,
  2. allergy to corticosteroids,
  3. allergy to antibiotics from the aminoglycoside group,
  4. wounded or damaged skin,
  5. ordinary and rosacea acne,
  6. dermatitis around the mouth,
  7. viral or fungal skin infection.

also diprogenta can not be used for a long time. The preparation cannot be used in the area of ​​the genitals and anus. The use of the drug is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.

The drug is there used externally, for lubrication on diseased skin. Should be applied locally, by applying a thin layer to the diseased surface.

The drug should not be applied on a large area of ​​skin, especially damaged skin. Do not use the preparation around the eyes. Longer use drug is contraindicated due to increasing bacterial resistance. Not use after the use-by date.
