Dip Rilif – active substances, indications, dosage, contraindications, interactions

Dip Rilif is a drug with local analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. It contains ibuprofen (50 mg in 1 g of gel) and menthol (30 mg in 1 g of gel). Ibuprofen belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is a drug that has a strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. It reduces inflammation in the affected area, soothes pain and reduces swelling. Menthol has a local anesthetic effect. It also causes local tissue hyperemia. The combined action of both ingredients relieves pain very quickly after applying the gel to the skin and this effect lasts for many hours.

1 g of gel contains:

  1. ibuprofen50 mg
  2. menthol 30 mg

Dip Rilif – indications and dosage

Dip Rilif is a gel used for topical treatment analgesic and anti-inflammatory in:

  1. rheumatic pains (including joint ailments caused by inflammatory and degenerative changes),
  2. back pain
  3. lumbago (gunshots),
  4. muscle pains,
  5. pain in fibrous tissue, tendons and ligaments,
  6. pain and swelling due to damage caused by physical exertion,
  7. joint injuries with torn ligaments (joint sprains),
  8. sports injuries.

Dosage

Dip Rilif is a gel and is intended only for external use. Hands should be washed thoroughly after use, unless they are the treatment area. The site of application of the gel should not be covered with bandages or plasters.

  1. Adults and children over 12 years of age: apply a thin layer of the gel to the painful area and massage gently until the preparation is absorbed.
  2. Tubes containing 30 g, 50 g or 100 g of the preparation should be used once with 1 to 4 cm of gel, and in the case of tubes containing 15 g of the drug, 4 – 10 cm of gel.
  3. Repeat no more than 3 times a day, leaving at least a 4-hour break in use.

Dip Rilif – contraindications to use

Contraindications to the use of Dip Rilif are:

  1. allergic reactions to any of the ingredients of the drug, acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,
  2. asthma – patients with a history of attacks of breathlessness, rash, rhinitis or other allergic symptoms after the use of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should refrain from using the preparation,
  3. application to mucous membranes, lips, nostrils and around the genitourinary organs,
  4. application to the eyes and to the skin around the eyes,
  5. applying to damaged or inflamed skin,
  6. use in children under 12 years of age.

Dip Rilif – caution

  1. Contact your doctor before taking Dip Rilif if: you are allergic to drugs or cosmetics, suffer from kidney disease, are taking acetylsalicylic acid or other medications at the same time, you have an active peptic ulcer disease.
  2. If you develop hives or skin irritation while using the gel, see your doctor.
  3. It is not recommended for pregnant women (consult your doctor).
  4. It is not recommended to use the drug in breastfeeding women, unless approved by a doctor.
  5. Dip Rilif has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Dip Rilif with other drugs

  1. The use of Dip Rilif simultaneously with acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may increase the frequency of side effects.

When using the preparation, inform your doctor about all medications you are taking, even those over the counter.
