And this means that the therapeutic sparing diet “Table 8” firmly occupies a leading place in the ranking of this kind of health-improving nutrition methods. In addition, diet 8 will help people who are at risk of overeating.
In spite of the fact that during the therapeutic nutrition on the Table 8 diet, it is necessary to strictly monitor the calorie content of dishes, even with such a strict restriction, you can cook deliciously and variedly. The main thing is to avoid excess fats and fast carbohydrates in the diet.

Frequency of meals on the “Table 8” diet: 4-5 times a day.
Do’s and Don’ts
Meat, poultry, fish. Dishes containing animal fats should be consumed in moderation – no more than 150 g per day. Allowed: low-calorie meats (beef, veal, rabbit, turkey and chicken). And also low-fat types of fish: cod, haddock, hake, pollock, perch, pike, etc. Meat and fish can be boiled, stewed or baked. Steamer cooking is also encouraged.
Eggs. You can 1-2 pieces a day (“in a bag”, hard-boiled, in the form of omelets, etc.)
Bread and flour. You can: rye and wheat bread made from wholemeal flour, bran. Do not: fresh baked goods, white bread.
Dairy. In the “Table 8” diet, any low-fat dairy products are allowed. Cheese should be treated with extreme caution (you can use it, not a small amount and not every day).
Vegetables. In medical nutrition with a diet of 8, vegetables form the basis of the diet – they can be eaten in any quantity, and partially – necessarily in a raw form (lettuce, radishes, tomatoes and cucumbers, grated carrots and beets, etc.).
Pickles, sauerkraut, lecho or squash caviar, as well as Japanese ginger and other spicy and spicy vegetables and vegetable snacks are prohibited.
Cereals. Loose cereals and side dishes of buckwheat, barley, barley are welcome. You just have to adhere to the rule: if you eat any cereals, then bread and any other flour products are excluded from this meal.
Fruit and desserts. Too sweet fruits and berries should be avoided, for example: apricots, peaches, grapes, figs and others. Sweet and sour, on the contrary, should be included in the daily diet, preferably raw. Desserts are allowed, but preferably sugar and fat free.
The drinks. You can drink on the Table 8 diet still water, unsweetened tea and coffee, any fruit drinks and compotes (without sugar), as well as fruit and vegetable juices diluted with water 1: 1. Sweet soda, cocoa, alcohol are prohibited.
Additional prohibitions. First of all, sweet and high-calorie desserts, as well as hot spices and any foods that stimulate the appetite, fall under the taboo in diet 8. Any smoked meats and semi-finished products, fast food and milkshakes should be excluded from the menu. You will also have to give up fatty cottage cheese and cheeses, from sweet yoghurts and curd cheeses. Rice, oatmeal, semolina, potatoes, and legumes can be eaten infrequently and in small amounts.
You should eat fractionally – 5-6 times a day. An approximate menu for the day may look like this:
First breakfast: natural yoghurt, 2-egg steam omelet, sugar-free coffee;
Lunch: unsweetened fruits;
Lunch: vegetarian borscht, veal cutlets with vegetable puree, salad of leafy vegetables with olive oil (but no vinegar and salt!);
Dinner: low-fat cottage cheese with berries;
3 hours before bedtime: a glass of natural yogurt or fat-free kefir.
Fresh vegetable salad with feta cheese
Ingredients: lettuce, fresh basil, olives, radishes, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, 1 onion, a few cubes of lightly salted feta cheese; a slice of lemon and 2 tsp. olive oil;
Method of preparation:
Wash and dry greens and lettuce. Then, with your hands, tear it into “shreds”.
Cut tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes into approximately equal pieces (you can add any fresh vegetables of your choice).
Add olives and pieces of feta cheese. Stir gently, but try not to crush the cheese into a porridge.
Before serving, sprinkle the salad with drops of lemon juice and add olive oil. We would like to remind you that with the “Table 8” diet it is not allowed to add salt or spices!
Veal stew with carrots and sour cream
Ingredients: 0,5 kg of dietary veal, 1 large carrot, 1 onion, 1 tsp. olive oil, half a glass of minimum fat sour cream, 1 tbsp. l. flour, herbs as spices, vegetables for garnish;
Method of preparation:
Chop the onion finely and fry it lightly in olive oil. Add diced carrots, a little water and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Lightly beat the pieces of veal with a hammer, sprinkle with herbs and add to the pan to the onions and carrots.
As soon as the meat turns white, transfer everything to a saucepan or frying pan with high sides, add boiling water (so that the water hides the meat). After 10 minutes, add sour cream to the dish, reduce heat and simmer for 60 minutes.
At the end, add flour to the dish, simmer for another 5-7 minutes. Then turn off the heat and darken the veal under the lid for 10-15 minutes.
Serve with fresh vegetables and herbs.
Banana Cheesecake with Cherry Jelly
Ingredients: ½ pack of low-fat cottage cheese, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp. l. wheat flour, 2 tbsp. l. condensed milk, 5-6 highly ripe, soft bananas, cherry jelly without sugar (with fructose or honey), a piece of butter;
Method of preparation:
Rub the cottage cheese twice through a sieve, then add eggs, condensed milk and flour to it, mix everything thoroughly. Ideally, blend in a blender.
Grind the bananas into a gentle puree and add to the curd mass.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease a baking dish with butter.
Put the curd-banana mass in a baking dish and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Then cover the tin with foil and continue to bake for another 20 minutes.
Cool and pour over cherry jelly before serving.
