The cabbage diet is one of the most popular today. And from its name it does not at all follow that you will have to eat only one “goat” diet! We will tell you how to properly follow a cabbage diet for weight loss, and what foods can be included in it.

What woman does not dream of losing weight quickly by the summer, by the season of long-awaited vacations … It turns out that many of these “dreamers” realize their desires precisely with the help of a diet on cabbage. The near-perfect diet: Easy to tolerate, cheap, and most importantly, the cabbage diet is great.

So, the cabbage diet can be of several options – choose the one that you like best …

Cabbage diet: option one

Recall that the secret of any cabbage diet is that it is easily tolerated – you can eat cabbage at any time of the day and in any quantity. As you know, cabbage is a very satisfying product, and with a certain culinary talent, you can cook many different dishes from it: stews, soup, vegetable cabbage rolls, sauerkraut, salads and many others. dr.

Cabbage itself is a very valuable and useful product: it inhibits the formation of tumors, is useful for diabetes, as well as for liver and kidney problems. For those who have long been choosing a diet for weight loss, there is also good news – cabbage has an extremely low calorie content, but it is great and satiates for a long time, and in addition it contains a lot of fiber and vitamins.

In the cabbage diet, you can use any kind of cabbage – white cabbage, Brussels sprouts, Peking cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli, as well as their combinations.

Cabbage diet menu (option 1) consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  • For breakfast, you should drink green tea or coffee (without sugar, you can – with the addition of skim milk).

  • For lunch: cabbage salad with green cucumber and fresh herbs, seasoned with 1 tsp. olive oil (it is better not to use salt, but you can use a mixture of aromatic peppers). You can eat such a salad in any volume – even a basin! About 200 g of boiled or steamed meat, chicken or fish can be added to cabbage. At the same time, no sauces, no side dishes, and no salt can be used.

  • For dinner, cook and enjoy a large serving of fresh or sauerkraut salad (to which you can add fresh cucumber and fresh herbs and literally 5 drops of extra virgin olive oil). And again – you can eat such a salad in any quantity. In addition, if you are still hungry and dissatisfied, it is allowed to add the protein of two boiled eggs to the salad for dinner. But only protein! Set aside the yolks with a willful gesture – they contain a lot of fat and cholesterol, so they are definitely not suitable for a cabbage diet or for any other.

  • Two hours before bedtime, drink 1 glass of low-fat kefir (the lower the fat content, the better).

Of the drinks during such a diet on cabbage, non-carbonated water (preferably about 2 liters per day), green leafy tea, as well as a decoction of ginger with lemon are welcome (but adding sugar to it is not allowed!).

You can adhere to this diet for 7-10 days, during which some women manage to lose up to 10 kg of excess weight. In fact, no one will ever predict the universal result for you here, since it directly depends on your lifestyle, physical activity, sufficient sleep time and initial weight. The more obese a person is initially, the more kilograms he can lose in one course of a diet on cabbage … 

After 15-20 days, this cabbage diet can be repeated.

Diet on cabbage: option two 

Even more popular is the cabbage diet for weight loss based on cabbage soup. This type of diet has great results, but it can be more difficult to stick to for those who are used to a varied menu, even while dieting. However, in addition to soup, the cabbage diet also includes fruits and boiled meat, so it may well be within your power.

As in the first option, any cabbage can serve as the basis for cabbage soup (and for the diet in general) – whichever you prefer, choose that one. Or vary!

Soup for a cabbage diet includes the following ingredients: white cabbage (or any other) cabbage – 500 g, carrots – 5 pcs., Onions – 5 pcs., Bulgarian pepper – 2 pcs., Tomato – 2 pcs., Celery stalks – 4 pcs., Brown rice – about 100 g raw, fresh herbs and peppers as a seasoning – unlimited.

This is not the daily volume of food, and of course it is not the volume per serving, it is just a harmonious ratio for cooking.

The good news: such a dietary cabbage soup is not limited in volume – eat as much as you like, within reasonable limits, of course, and taking care of your health.

So, the second menu option for a diet on cabbage:

  • 1 day: soup, as well as up to 15 pm – 1 any fruit, except for banana and grapes;

  • Day 2: all day – only soup;

  • Day 3: soup, as well as any vegetables (except potatoes) in the form of a salad, or steamed;

  • Day 4: soup, as well as 2 glasses of low-fat kefir;

  • Day 5: soup, as well as 500 g of boiled or steamed meat, chicken or fish;

  • Day 6: soup, as well as stewed vegetables (except potatoes), 200 g of meat, chicken or fish;

  • Day 7: soup, as well as fresh vegetables in the form of a salad.

Small remarks to this menu:

  • In a diet on cabbage (or rather, already on cabbage soup), fruits can be eaten strictly no later than 15:00;

  • The daily rate of half a kilo of boiled meat, chicken or fish does not mean at all that these 500 g should be eaten in one sitting. Vice versa! This amount should be divided into at least 2 doses with a time difference of at least 3 hours;

  • Eat preferably in relatively small portions every 3 hours;

  • Drink a glass of pure non-carbonated water every hour and a half;

  • In addition to water and low-fat kefir from liquids, you can – leaf green tea and ginger juice (it is brewed without sugar, but you can add pieces of lemon or orange peel).

Diet on cabbage: what else?

Cabbage soup (even if it is very effective for losing weight) is not the only “essential” dish that can be prepared as part of the cabbage diet …

In addition to soup, the cabbage diet menu can be built on the basis of cabbage smoothies (with the addition of a small amount of fresh cucumbers and lettuce), as well as cabbage stewed in a slow cooker (without adding oil and salt).
