Didactic games in mathematics: in the preparatory group of kindergarten
Didactic games in mathematics have several goals: they should generate interest in this subject in preschoolers and prepare them for the school curriculum.
Conducting classes in the middle group of kindergarten
Classes in the middle group should introduce kids to the magical world of mathematics. That is why fairy tale characters should be taught to children. The task of the teacher is to interest and create intrigue. Children willingly engage in math games when they are surprised. The solution should be fraught with surprises, and the action and plot should capture the kids.
There are several techniques that “infect” children with math games:
- The effect of surprise when submitting an assignment. In the calm plot of the tale, a character suddenly appears who offers the conditions of the problem.
- Intrigue and contradictory situation. The child should guess why a tall and narrow car will not pass under a low wide bridge.
These tasks can be inscribed in a fairy tale or cartoon. The character can travel and face various difficulties that children will willingly overcome when helping the fairytale hero.
Developing classes will help you master the concepts of “left” and “right”, teach you to understand the meanings of “number” and “quantity”. In the process of games, the kid realizes what time is and how geometric shapes differ from each other. Children study the “spot the differences” pictures and solve the first logical problems.
A game about turtles who need to find an island
Each turtle, cut out of cardboard, has a certain number of dots on its shell: from 1 to 5. Numbers 1-5 are written on the cardboard palms depicting islands. The task of the child is to choose its own island for each turtle.
Preparatory group lessons
In this group, the approach to mathematics is already more serious. Children learn poems about the importance of the subject. Toddlers learn to count from 1 to 10 and vice versa. Sometimes the score is from 3 to 7 or from 8 to 5. You need to guess the number that is “hidden” between the neighboring ones, determine which number is greater.
Preschoolers are taught to add and subtract in a playful way.
Kids are introduced to notebooks in a cage, taught with them the names of the days of the week and months, they line up the days and months in order. There are tasks for the definition of geometric shapes, but complicated ones. It is necessary not only to name the figure, but also to find it in the general structure.
Preparing for math in a playful way will not scare your child. Having mastered the skills of counting and adding, the kid will feel comfortable in math lessons at school.
