Swimwear
Although such things are intended for bathing, they may not survive even a 15-minute washing in a typewriter. The risk of damage to the straps and bra bones from mechanical washing is too high. It is still better to wash swimwear the old fashioned way, by hand.
Jackets
Most often, jackets are shaped due to sewn-in shoulders and inserts, and during a machine wash, they can easily be damaged and lose their shape. To prevent this from happening, it is better to take the soiled jacket to a dry cleaner or wash it gently by hand without wringing it out.
Genuine leather shoes
Wearing leather shoes requires special care, and washing in the machine can simply kill her. On very delicate materials, cracks, creases and streaks from the powder may appear after washing in the machine. In addition, many shoes are now not stitched, but glued, so they can still come unstuck from high temperatures. It is better to clean any shoes with your hands, and deodorants for shoes or special odor absorbers will help get rid of the unpleasant smell.
Ties
An expensive and presentable accessory is most often made from good, expensive fabrics, which, when washed in a machine, can begin to deteriorate, and the tie itself can lose color. Hand washing with mild detergents will help get rid of any dirt on your tie.
Orthopedic foam pillows and mattress covers
Orthopedic foam bedding is prohibited by many manufacturers. After all, after the first start of the machine, the filler will all break and things will lose not only their shape, but also their effectiveness. For cleaning orthopedic substances, it is better to go to a dry cleaner.
Caps
It is not recommended to machine wash hats with a visor or shaped headgear. The thing can be easily damaged and out of shape. It is better to soak the hat in water, rub it lightly and let it dry without wringing it out first.
Microfiber cloths
Microfiber cloths and wipes may lose their absorbency during machine washing. To prevent this from happening, it is best to wash the item with your hands in warm soapy water.
Items with hair from pets
It is certainly possible and necessary to wash things after contact with a cat or a dog, but you should not wash a bed that has not been cleaned before washing. A large amount of wool can clog the filters of the water pumps, which can lead to breakage or leakage of the machine.
Clothing with sequins and embroidery
Washing things with embroidery and rhinestones should be approached with caution. In the drum of the washing machine, rhinestones can come off, and then clog the filter. Embroidery, on the other hand, can get disheveled and lose its appearance. It is better to soak delicate clothes in a basin with detergents and wash them without sharp friction and squeezing.
Items with flammable liquid stains
You should avoid washing things soiled in fuel oil, kerosene, gasoline in the washing machine. These substances on clothes can damage some elements of the machine, and during washing, the item can catch fire. To avoid such a result, it is better to pre-soak the clothes with a strong detergent, dry them and only then put them in the drum of the machine.
