Psychotype, or type of character
Psychotype (psychological type) is a set of character traits that describes a recognizable type of person from the point of view of psychology. A psychotype is a description of what you can expect from a person of this type in certain situations and by what external signs you can guess about it.
Description of the features of a person’s behavior in terms of difficulties for others (see Character) or the possibilities of influencing him.
Due to the fact that there are a lot of psychological schools, there are different classifications of psychological types. See Classification of Psychotypes
Depending on the severity of the psychotype, they speak of a personality pattern, character accentuation and psychopathy.
A normal personality pattern is a trait of a normal personality, often described in the language of psychopathology (schizoid, hysteroid …), but not reaching accentuation, and even more so psychopathy.
Personality drawing
Normal personality pattern — traits of a normal personality, often described in the language of psychopathology (schizoid, hysteroid …), but not reaching accentuation
Accentuations
Accentuation — features of personality and character, more pronounced than a personality pattern, but not as prominent as in psychopathy.
Personality type
A personality type is a broader concept than a psychotype, since it describes not only the psychological, but also the social characteristics of a person. Personality type is the psychological and social characteristics (features) of a person (a person’s lifestyle, his philosophy, values and his habits) that determine the direction, way and style of his life.
Personality traits
Personality traits (personality traits, personality traits) are the traits and characteristics of a person that describe his internal (or, more precisely, deep) features. What you need to know about the peculiarities of his behavior, communication and response to certain situations, not specifically now, but during long-term contacts with a person.
Personal traits include deep features that have both a biological and a social nature, and determine more superficial, situational manifestations.
Conscientiousness, as a personality trait, in a particular situation will manifest itself as a willingness to bring the matter to the end.
Character traits
Character traits are situational, personality type is supra-situational, manifests itself in a wide range of situations.
For example, hypochondria is originally a lasting condition. When this continuing state becomes somehow characteristic of a person, hypochondria turns into a character trait, and when it becomes the predominant direction and style of a person’s life, then it becomes a personality type. The person turns into a hypochondriac.
