Will and organization are not the same thing. You can be a strong-willed person, but not very organized, forget a lot and just be late. You can learn to be organized, always do everything on time, and at the same time not be a strong-willed person. Secondly, many people develop will prematurely and therefore contraindicated. Just because it’s a serious load. Look: everyone needs to improve their health, but if a person is sick, he first needs to get well. Similarly, developing the will is important, but if you do not have a base for this, do not develop the will, but prepare the basis for it. This includes:

mental health. Almost everyone is mentally healthy, and many lack mental health. Teach yourself positivity and train a calm presence. Over time, this will form you much more endurance and better self-control.

No — the position of the Victim. The will and position of the Victim are two incompatible things. Get rid of this bad habit. Study the Vocabulary of the Victim and make the right decisions. Exclude from speech (external and internal) excuses as a reason for not doing something.

If you’ve made up your mind, go ahead! Developing the will is not a quick thing, but it is quite real. To make yourself a super-strong person, you may need a separate talent, but just to strengthen your will, to become a sufficiently strong-willed person — everyone can. The will develops in sports under the guidance of a good coach and in the army under the commands of a ruthless sergeant. The development of the will occurs in the same way as the development of physical strength — through ordinary training.

Said and done. Decided to do it. And if a person practiced laziness day after day, he would become lazy, not strong-willed.

Will is a skill and a habit, which means that it is developed in the process of a long repetition of volitional efforts. It is not enough to go to karate training once to develop the will. Laziness and will always fight for power: which of them is greater, who is stronger — he rules, and the second can only keep quiet. Willpower or laziness is determined by the number of concessions to one or the other, and potentially laziness always gets more points.

Strong, strong-willed people do not allow themselves weakness, watching this as an indicator of the safety of the inner core of their personality. If this is close to you, exclude small weaknesses and laziness from your life. Do what you must, without arguing or even thinking about this topic, because our laziness and weaknesses are cunning, they will definitely convince you if you give them at least some opportunity and a loophole: “Now it’s not necessary”, “I’ll leave it for later” , “Maybe well him”, “Something is not in the mood today”, “And so it will do”, etc. In such cases, you just need to take it and do it!

Train yourself to discipline: write a plan — plan done. At the same time, make sure that the beginning is easy and attractive: do not burden yourself with overwhelming tasks. If you know (feel) that most likely you won’t do what you planned, it’s better not to plan. But if you have already decided something, write down the decision and then follow it. What matters here is not how much you do, but whether you do exactly what you planned. If you have done a lot, but without a plan, you are an effective, but not yet disciplined and strong-willed person. If you have planned a little, but have done everything, you accustom yourself to discipline.

So, learn to write yourself simple tasks — ones that you can complete. For example, make yourself a realistic and attractive mode, but then start doing it.

In the morning — exercises, for breakfast — what is useful, and not what you want, to work — without delay, to sleep — at 23:00 exactly, rise at 7:00 exactly, and so on. Is it all difficult right now? Simplify. Start with at least one thing: to bed at exactly 23.00. And do it. This is already a huge step forward!

If you live in this mode for a month or two, the mode can be removed, the body will get used to living correctly and you will only need to maintain it.

The development of the body greatly helps the development of the will, they develop together, synchronously. Any training will do — the decision to play sports is, in fact, the first volitional effort. What kind of sport it will be is up to you, the main thing is that there is sufficient physical activity.

Karate, swimming, athletics — what the soul lies in. Dancing, if you do it not just at home, but under the guidance of a coach, is also a real sport.

For the development of the will, the practice of submission is useful. Every true teacher was once a true student, and all the best leaders make great subordinates. The practice of will begins with the practice of submission: learn to obey what reasonable people who care about you tell you. It can be your parents, if you consider them reasonable people. It could be your sports coach chasing you in training. It could be your boss teaching you about adult life in business.

When the will gets stronger, you can plan your daily exploits. A feat is a big and difficult task, for the accomplishment of which you will seriously respect yourself. So, every day, plan a feat for yourself and be sure to complete it. The main thing in training the will — as in training the body — is not to overdo it and do no harm: it is better to start simple and increase the load every day.

Get up at eight today, tomorrow at seven-fifty. Today, do exercises at home, tomorrow go for a run in the park.

The most important thing is that the feat is carried out. And when you take this height, take it as a rule: “Be impeccable!” Whatever you undertake, do the best you can. By living this way, you will start every day with joy and end with pride. Beautiful life!

It is important to develop willpower, but it is equally important to supplement this with the development of reason, maturity and wisdom. In the first case, a stubborn person will grow up, in the second — a courageous person, a man.
