There are many types of household chemicals:

  • sprayers;
  • gels;
  • foaming products;
  • dry powders;
  • creamy products.

The most popular of the above is the spray bottle. A convenient pump evenly distributes the product over glass and metal surfaces of the bathroom fixtures. You just have to wait a while, wash off the soap composition with water or wipe it with a clean napkin.

The rest of the chemicals work in the same way. Gel or foam is applied to the contaminated area, and then smoothly spreads over the horizontal and vertical surfaces of the shower. After thorough cleansing, the product is left on for a few minutes and then washed off with warm or cool water. At the very end, it is advisable to wipe everything dry, otherwise plaque and stains may remain.

Sometimes shower cleaners are too aggressive: they cause irritation, watery eyes, redness on the skin. A simple homemade recipe can help you avoid allergic reactions. You will need:

  • litere of water;
  • 20 grams of baking soda;
  • 20 grams of vinegar.

Stir the ingredients until the soda is completely dissolved. Apply the composition to the entire surface of the shower, leave for 1-2 hours and rinse with water. This recipe will get rid of stains, mildew and plaque.

In addition to a suitable detergent, you need to purchase rubber gloves and the right sponges. Rough metal sponges and brushes are not suitable for cleaning the shower stall and will scratch the enamel. Choose soft synthetic sponges, cloths and special scrapers with silicone tips.
