There is widespread knowledge about the harmfulness of tobacco smoking. Nevertheless, successive generations reach for a pack of cigarettes, becoming addicts. Every 4th person smokes among adults. Desmoxan and cigarette addiction

Cigarettes contain a lot of ingredients, including most of the harmful ones that poison the body, cause diseases (including atherosclerosis), accelerate aging or sagging skin. The composition of cigarettes includes, among others:

  1. Carbon monoxide;
  2. Acetone;
  3. Polish;
  4. Arsenic;
  5. Hydrogen cyanide;
  6. Tar;
  7. Formaldehyde;
  8. Vinyl chloride.

Cigarette addiction is caused by nicotine. After inhaling the smoke for a short time, the body demands to supply it with this substance, which makes it difficult or even impossible to give up smoking.

The ritual of smoking also makes cigarettes addictive – a combination with coffee or a conversation or simply the desire to go outside. However, these are only pretexts given by people feeling the so-called “Nicotine craving”.

Desmoxan – how does it work?

Desmoxan is a product that helps you quit smoking. Contains cytosine – an alkaloid obtained from the seeds of the goldfish. It works very similar to nicotine. Let us remind you that nicotine is addictive, but not harmful to the body. However, tar substances are dangerous.

Therefore, by taking Desmoxan, the body’s need for nicotine is satisfied. Moreover, these needs are diminishing. It is assumed that after 25 days of using this drug, the smoker will get used to nicotine. He gives up cigarettes without the unpleasant ailments caused by giving up tobacco.

Desmoxan – composition

One capsule of Desmoxan contains the active substance – 1,5 mg of cytisine (Cytisinum) and auxiliary substances, which include:

  1. microcrystalline cellulose;
  2. corn starch;
  3. colloidal anhydrous silica;
  4. magnesium stearate;
  5. titanium dioxide;
  6. indigotine;
  7. gelatine.

Desmoxan – dosage

The dosage of Desmoxan is explained in detail in the package insert. For the first 3 days, take 1 capsule every 2 hours (6 tablets a day). You can then smoke cigarettes, gradually reducing their daily number. If the smoker still needs to smoke after this time, the treatment should be discontinued and restarted after 2-3 months.

However, if the body reacted correctly to Desmoxan, the dosing in the following days should be as follows:

  1. Day 4 – 12 – 1 capsule every 2,5 hours (maximum 5 capsules a day);
  2. 12-16 days – 1 capsule every 3 hours (maximum 4 capsules a day);
  3. 17-20 day – 1 capsule every 5 hours (maximum 3 capsules a day);
  4. 21 – 25 days – 1 or 2 capsules a day.

From the fourth day on, you can no longer smoke. Desmoxan satisfies the decreasing nicotine demand.

Desmoxan – contraindications to use

Desmoxan should not be used by:

  1. people under the age of 18 (without consulting a doctor);
  2. pregnant and lactating women;
  3. people currently taking anti-tuberculosis preparations;
  4. people suffering from: gastric and duodenal ulcers, esophageal reflux, pheochromocytoma, hypertension, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, renal and hepatic insufficiency, as well as people over 65 years of age (consult a doctor before use).
Note:

Taking Demoxan and smoking tobacco at the same time may have serious side effects. You should give up smoking no later than five days after the initiation of treatment with Desmoxan.

Desmoxan – side effects

The drug must not be taken by pregnant women and breastfeeding women. Adolescents up to 18 years of age may take Desmoxan only after medical consultation. The doctor’s consent is also required for people suffering from diseases such as for heart disease, hypertension, gastric and duodenal ulcers, diabetes, hyperthyroidism or kidney and liver failure.

The unpleasant side effects of Desmoxan dosing most often occur at the beginning of the treatment. These are:

  1. malaise, fatigue, irritability,
  2. sleep disturbances,
  3. headaches and dizziness,
  4. nausea,
  5. pressure increase,
  6. slow or faster heart beat
  7. digestive system disorders (abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting),
  8. sweating
  9. increased salivation and expectoration.

Opinions about Desmoxan are mostly positive. They mainly concern people who have stopped smoking cigarettes.

Some people, despite the beneficial effects of Desmoxan, had unpleasant side effects, such as insomnia, headaches and dizziness. They most often occur at the beginning of therapy.
