Designers have named the new most fashionable color for the walls

In the second half of 2020, it is he who will increasingly be found in interiors that claim to be stylish.

It is even called the “new gray” – it is replacing this color, which has been very popular in painting walls until now. This is because it suits almost everything: neutral gray shades fit into any interior style, they are easy to play around and color with accessories. In addition, recently Scandinavian minimalism has been very fashionable, into the concept of which gray also fits perfectly.

But now the dominance of the gray is over. The designers announced that it was time for … brown! All shades of color, from toffee to mahogany, are welcome.

“Brown instantly gives a room a warm and sophisticated look, and is a great base for other trendy colors like yellow, pink and orange,” the designers say.

By the way, they do not just count, but also design their own apartments taking into account the fashion trends. For example, Ben Penrich, the designer who designed the interior design for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Norfolk home, opted for brown when decorating his home.

“People think of brown as a dark and dull color. But in the right context, it is a rich and warm color, it creates a space that is relaxing and at the same time looks elegant, ”- London-based interior designer Nisha Parech explained in a conversation with the Daily Mail.

By the way, last year this trend was already outlined: accessories in ocher, terracotta and orange shades came into fashion.

“Brown has a rich history in interiors. Our cave ancestors used this color to paint the walls of the cave. In the 80th and early 90th centuries, brown was very popular as a component of Victorian interiors. But in the XNUMXs this color was supplanted by bright shades and pastel colors, in the XNUMXs minimalism came, and the tendency towards the dominance of white in the interior has been preserved to this day, ”experts say.
