Desert Storm: How to Moisturize Your Hair

Hair deprived of moisture is not an ornament, but a torment for their owner: dry, lifeless, dull, brittle. We tell you how to moisturize your hair and how to deal with drought.

Why Hair Needs Regular Hydration

In order for the hair to be smooth, silky, elastic, in a word, “alive”, one very important condition is necessary: they must be sufficiently moisturized. Yes, the quality of the hair depends largely on this indicator. If the strands become dull, brittle, lifeless, they definitely suffer from a lack of moisture.

What factors determine hair moisture?

  • A sebaceous secret that oils the surface of the hair and prevents moisture loss.

  • Cuticle Integrity – Tightly adjacent scales protect the hair shaft from dehydration.

Hair may be naturally dry. For example, curly hair always needs intense hydration and nourishment. But often dehydration of the hair is a direct consequence of aggressive factors that contribute to damage:

  • staining;

  • chemical exposure;

  • styling with thermal devices;

  • improperly selected care (for example, too aggressive cleansing).

All this negatively affects the ability of the cuticle to retain moisture. Therefore, moisturizing hair should be a must-have beauty routine for most girls.
