How to grow the Kavili zucchini variety?
Seeds can be sown outdoors from early May to late June. To prolong fruiting, sowing should be carried out in 3 stages with an interval of 2 weeks.
To get a good harvest, follow these recommendations:
- zucchini need a lot of light and heat, choose an area that meets these requirements;
- provide the bushes with abundant watering, this variety has superficial roots, in hot weather without moisture, the culture can dry out;
- do not plant seeds in the place where representatives of the pumpkin family or cucumbers previously grew;
- the best predecessors for this crop are potatoes, onions or cabbage;
- acidic soil is not suitable for zucchini, select a site with light soil of neutral acidity;
- apply organic or mineral fertilizers to the soil before planting.
Sow seeds to a depth of 5 cm. Place 2-3 seeds in each hole. After the sprouts appear, leave the 2 strongest ones. Maintain a distance of 70 cm between zucchini and 1,4 m between rows.
In order for the bushes to receive more light, during the flowering period and the formation of the ovary, it is necessary to thin out the leaves.
