Description of the Giant tomato variety
The giant tomato is distinguished by its huge fruit size. There are many varieties with red, yellow and pink tomatoes.
Fruit weight reaches 200-500 g, but this is not the limit. There are tomatoes that weigh 0,7-1 kg. This variety is mid-season. Tomatoes can be grown in greenhouses and outdoors. The fruits ripen in 110-115 days.

The plant is determinant, that is, it stops growing after the formation of 4-5 clusters with tomatoes. It needs to be tied to a support. The culture reaches 1,5 m in height, the stems can break under the weight of the crop.
To get record-breaking tomatoes by weight, you need to sow seeds for seedlings at the end of March. In July-August, the first crop can be harvested.
Characteristics of tomatoes:
- tomatoes are red, rounded with a flattened top;

- The giant Sukhanov. An early greenhouse variety. Plants reach 1,8 m in height. Fruits with sweet and fleshy flesh, flat-round shape, pink-red in color with stripes, weigh 0,4-1 kg.
- Orange giant. Plants are medium-sized, 70-80 cm in height. Tomatoes are yellow-orange in color, round in shape, weighing 0,3 kg. The pulp is deep orange in color. The variety is high-yielding, the yield is 6-12 kg of fruits.
- The giant Novikov. Plants over 2 m in height. The variety has an excellent tomato flavor. They are fleshy, sweet and juicy, with a low seed content, weighing 0,4-1 kg. You can collect 10 kg of tomatoes from a bush.
- Pepper-shaped giant. Plants grow up to 1,5-2 m. Fruits appear 100-120 days after sowing seeds. Tomatoes weigh 0,3-0,4 kg, up to 15 cm long. They are pepper-shaped.
There are other large-fruited varieties such as Lemon Giant, Sugar Giant, Napa Giant, and Honey Giant. Tomatoes are ideal for fresh salads and can be processed into juice. The drink turns out to be thick.
All varieties of Giant tomato need a garter to support. If you want to get large fruits, do not plant more than 3 plants per 1 sq. m.
