Choose a sunny, wind-protected area with sandy loam for the seedling. It is advisable to plant a tree on a hill so that the groundwater level is no closer than 1,5 m.
“Molodezhnaya” is a light-loving and moisture-loving variety, the care is as follows:
- In the spring, treat cherries for fungal diseases with a solution of fungicides.
- Feed the trees once a year with complex mineral fertilizers, which include potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen. In autumn, rotted manure or compost can be added to the trunk circle.
- In a dry summer, water the trees, the ground should get 40-50 cm wet, but no more.
- Prune long branches each year to help produce fruit.
- Do not allow the crown to thicken.
In order for the cherry to bear fruit stably, limit its growth to 2-2,5 m, cut off the top.
With proper care, “Molodezhnaya” will live for 15-20 years, all this time it will delight you with delicious fruits. Do not plant any fruit trees at a distance of 1,5-2 m from the seedling.
