Derbent champagne: an overview of the brand and taste

The Derbent sparkling wine factory has existed since the XNUMXth century, at first the company was only engaged in collecting wine grapes and sending them to wineries in Moscow and St. Petersburg. But later the plant began to produce its own wines.

Derbent winemakers have mastered the production almost from scratch and created their own recipe for sparkling wines. To do this, they got acquainted with many methods of champagne, invited foreign expert breeders, new grape varieties were planted: Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot, Aligote, Cabernet Sauvignon.

In order for champagne to have an exceptional taste, grapes in Derbent are harvested only by hand. After careful selection of grapes, it is pressed and filtered, which further enhances the taste of champagne. Thanks to all the efforts of winemakers, Derbent champagne has a special sweet taste.

Varieties of champagne

  1. Russian semi-sweet champagne

    characterized by sweetness and a long refreshing aftertaste. Tropical fruits, ripe pear, banana, melon undertones make up its unique aroma. Sparkling wine has a straw color.

  2. Russian champagne brut

    has the taste of elite grape varieties. The fresh aroma has a deep aftertaste.

  3. Derbent pink semi-sweet

    Velvety taste with barberry and overripe raspberries develops gradually, not after several sips. The aroma is special, from forest berries and flowers of the vine.

  4. Russian semi-dry champagne

    Color is amber. Aroma with an apple tint. The taste also combines berries and grapevine color.

How to serve

Chill the champagne to 5 degrees before serving. Pour it into narrow thin wine glasses. As a snack, cheeses, marshmallows, seafood, chicken, as well as any pastries are well suited.
