Deprim is a drug used in family medicine in the treatment of mild depression and shaky mood. The preparation affects the central nervous system, improves mood and reduces nervous tension. Deprim is available in tablet form and can be obtained without a prescription.

Indications for use of the drug Deprim

Deprim is indicated in mild to moderate depressive states with associated symptoms (such as depression, apathy, decreased activity), in menopausal mood disturbances and in mood instability associated with weather changes. The active ingredient of Deprim is herb extract St. John’s wort.

Dosage of Deprim:

1. Adults: 1 tablet 3 times a day.
2. Children after the age of 7: 1-2 tablets a day, in the morning or at noon.

Deprim and contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation is a contraindication to the use of Deprim.

Deprim – warnings

1. Usually, the effect of the drug appears within 10-14 days of application.
2. Stop taking the drug and contact your doctor if there is no improvement within 4 weeks.
3. Avoid UV radiation (solarium, sun) during treatment with Deprim, as the preparation may have photosensitizing effects.
4. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before using Deprim.

Deprim with other drugs

Deprim should not be used with:

1. digitalis cardiac glycosides,
2. theophylline,
3. antiepileptic drugs,
4. anticoagulants,
5. antidepressants,
6. anti-migraine drugs (triptans),
7. immunosuppressive drugs (cyclosporine),
8. indinavir or other antiretroviral drugs
9. oral contraceptives.

Deprim and side effects: Gastrointestinal disorders, cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions (redness, itching), symptoms of fatigue and anxiety. Attention! The preparation may increase the photosensitivity of the skin, so avoid strong exposure to UV rays and use protective measures during treatment. When used as recommended, the drug does not affect psychophysical fitness and the ability to drive or operate machinery.
