The parents cannot understand his mood disorders and are wondering what to do next.

Should we consult? Does he need to take medication to help him?

A child who has had depressive disorder at one point may not necessarily develop depression as an illness.

Anyway, if you suspect a depressive episode in your child, the easiest way is to consult a specialist to set up appropriate assistance. The suffering is often major and adolescence is not far away.

We also know the devastation that untreated or spotted depressions can wreak in the lives of young children during adolescence.

Céline, mother of the two and a half year old boy, quickly consulted a specialist, an osteopath: “… his“ crises ”lasted 2/2 months. The solution I had in December when I went to the osteopath (who has been following him since his birth) who told me that he was still very angry, even if it cannot be seen (I thought he had understood correctly, and that it was over). So she taught me to channel his anger and to manage. She explained to me that he needed to be reassured during his anger and that it would be a long-term job… ”.
