Dentosept is a drug with a natural composition that has an analgesic and antiseptic effect. It can be used from the age of 6, but you should know the dosage rules. What ingredients are in Dentosept? Dentosept – how does it work?

Dentosept is a concentrate for the preparation of a solution for use in the mouth. The action of the drug is based on plant materials (including chamomile or oak bark extract).

Dentosept can be given to children from 6 years of age.

As a result, Dentosept exhibits anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, disinfecting and astringent properties.

Dentosept – what ailments can it be used for?

Dentospet can be used in the case of:

  1. inflammation of the mouth and throat;
  2. gingivitis;
  3. glossitis;
  4. superficial periodontitis;
  5. bleeding gums.

Dentosept is also used as an auxiliary in the treatment of periodontitis.

Dentosept – composition

The composition of the Dentosept solution includes only plant substances that make up the ethanol extract:

  1. chamomile basket (Matricaria recutita L.);
  2. Oak bark (Quercus spp.);
  3. sage leaves (Salvia officinalis L.);
  4. aim arniki (Arnica spp.);
  5. calamus rhizomes (acorus calamus L.);
  6. peppermint herb (Mentha piperita L.);
  7. thyme herb (Thymus spp).

Dentosept – dosage

In the case of the dosage of Dentosept, consult your doctor or follow the instructions described in the leaflet attached to the solution. Adults should take a maximum of 10 ml of the drug combined with water (according to the indicator on the measuring cup included in the package). Rinse the mouth and throat with the mixture.

Children over six years of age and adolescents may use Dentosept after consulting a doctor. In their case, 10 ml of the drug should be mixed in a glass with water (250 ml), and then rinsed the throat and mouth.

  1. Symptoms of stomatitis

Dentosept can be dosed three times a day for a maximum of seven days. After this period, see a doctor. It is also worth consulting if rinsing the mouth is ineffective and the inflammation is getting worse.

Dentosept – how to use the drug?

Dentosept concentrate for solution is not a ready-to-use product. Before starting use, dilute it in water according to the doctor’s instructions or the manufacturer’s recommendations described above.

The Dentosept leaflet also contains detailed information on the preparation of the solution for both adults and children to drink. The packaging of Dentosept contains not only a 100 ml bottle of liquid, but also a graduated measuring cup (20 ml).

Dentosept – precautions

During the treatment with the inclusion of Dentospet, remember that:

  1. Dentosept is intended only
  2. not for rinsing the mouth;
  3. The medicine must not be swallowed;
  4. You should protect your eyes from contact with Dentosept, therefore you must wash your hands thoroughly immediately after rinsing the throat and mouth.

Dentosept – contraindications

Dentosept cannot be used if you are allergic to any of the active substances of the drug, especially:

  1. arnica;
  2. chamomile;
  3. plants of the Asteraceae family;
  4. thyme;
  5. sage;
  6. mint;
  7. plants from the Lyme family;
  8. oak bark;
  9. calamus rhizome.

Dentosept – side effects and side effects

In the case of using Dentosept, as with the dosage of other drugs, side effects may occur. Allergic reactions are the most common.

In addition, there may be alcohol in the exhaled air immediately after consuming Dentosept, so do not dose it immediately before driving a car or operating machinery, or wait 30 minutes after rinsing the mouth and throat.

Dentosept – can it be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Due to the lack of data on the use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult your doctor or gynecologist before taking Dentosept.

In addition, one must take into account the fact that one dose of the drug contains 5,67 g of ethanol, which is alcohol, which penetrates into the blood, so be even more careful.

Dentosept – how to store the drug?

Dentosept should be kept out of the reach of children. It should be shaded with a maximum temperature of 25 degrees C. After the expiry date, Dentosept should not be used.

Dentosept – price and availability

Dentosept is available from a pharmacy without a prescription. The price of the drug for a 100 ml bottle is approximately PLN 14. Dentosept A may also be available from the pharmacy, which is also a mouthwash for inflammation of the mouth and throat.

Compared to traditional Dentosept, however, it contains auxiliary substances. In addition, it may cause a short-term burning sensation immediately after use.
