Dentosept A is a preparation with disinfecting and anesthetic properties, traditionally used to treat inflammation of the oral cavity. In the treatment of mouth ulcers and bedsores after dentures. It is available over the counter.

Indications for the use of Dentosept A
Dentosept A is available as a mouthwash. Contains ethanol extract composed of a basket of chamomile, oak bark, sage leaves, arnica herb, calamus rhizomes, peppermint herb, thyme herb and benzocaine. It is traditionally used in:
- inflammation of the mouth and gums,
- treatment of aphthae,
- mouth ulcers (after dentures),
- and as an auxiliary in periodontitis.
Dentosept A – contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the preparation or to other plants of the Asteraceae / complex family (Asteraceae/Compositae). Use in children under 12 years of age and in pregnant and lactating women.
Dosage
The affected areas in the mouth should be lubricated with the preparation using a cotton bud do 3 times a day. Do not rinse the mouth immediately after using the preparation.

You should leave at least a half-hour break between taking the drug and driving a vehicle or operating machinery while in motion.
Dentosept A – side effects
Dentosept A can lead to the following side effects: discoloration of the teeth and oral mucosa, which disappears after brushing the teeth. The short-term burning sensation of the mucosa immediately after application is also transient. Hypersensitivity reactions in people allergic to benzocaine, methaemoglobinaemia
