What are dental implants?
A dental implant is a screw-like piece that is placed in place of a natural tooth – in the jaw bone or mandible. It replaces the root of the extracted tooth. Implants are made of titanium or zirconium oxide. These materials are very durable and well-tolerated by the body.
In the case of standard two-phase implants, a screw is inserted first, and only after a few months an artificial crown. There are also single-phase implants – in their case, both a screw and a visible part of the prosthesis are inserted during the same visit.

What does the price of dental implants depend on?
It’s good to know that dental implant prices administered by dentists are usually given in a fork. It is difficult to define one fixed price, because there are many factors affecting the final cost of the procedure. Among them, the following should be mentioned:
- implant manufacturer,
- implantation method,
- the material the crown is made of,
- the need for additional tests or treatments before implantation.
Aspects related to running a dentist’s office are also important. Much depends on the location of the facility and the margin imposed by the doctor, which is related to, inter alia, with his experience in carrying out such treatments.
Teeth implants of the entire jaw – price
The cost of a single dental implant is an average of about PLN 3000, with prices starting from PLN 1500 and usually ending at PLN 4600. If you want to rebuild a larger number of teeth with implants, the valuation is slightly different.
Then we are talking about the so-called prosthesis mounted on implants. In this way, 2 to 6 teeth can be supplemented. While the average price for a denture stabilized on 2 implants is PLN 7500, we will pay an average of PLN 4 for a denture stabilized on 20 implants. zloty.

The type of crown and the price of implant placement
In the case of the most popular two-phase implantation, it should be remembered that the price of the crown should be added to the price of the implant itself. Tooth implants at the National Health Fund
Patients often wonder if there is a possibility reimbursement of implant treatment by the National Health Fund. Unfortunately, all permanent dentures – including implants – are not paid for by the National Health Fund.
An exception may be when the loss of teeth is the result of an accident. Then the patient can apply for a reimbursement by presenting the application and relevant documents in his NHF branch.
It happens that free dental implants can be obtained as part of special, time-limited actions, organized e.g. for seniors. However, you should know that they are rare.
