Daytime eye makeup: how to do it? Video

There is an unwritten rule according to which bright makeup is intended for evening events, and naturalness is more preferable during the day. How to make the look expressive even with such a minimum of cosmetics?

The main purpose of daytime makeup is to emphasize the natural beauty of the girl, to draw attention to the advantages, and to make the disadvantages less noticeable. In this case, the makeup should not be conspicuous. This is facilitated by light pastel colors, soft transitions, and the absence of thick dark lines.

The shape of the eyebrows makes the face look more attractive and youthful in general. If you are not completely happy with the eyebrows obtained from nature, visit a salon and ask a good master to give them an attractive shape, after which you can maintain it yourself. To make your eyebrows visually thicker and more saturated, you can tint them with a special pencil or shadows. Choose a pencil that matches your natural eyebrow and hair color for a natural look.

The expressiveness of the eyes largely depends on the expressiveness of the eyebrows.

If you are the owner of blue eyes, shades of light gray, beige, lavender, turquoise, lilac will suit you. Of course, for daytime makeup, these colors should be of moderate brightness.

Neutral grays and beige shades work well for a business look, while pink or turquoise for a more romantic look.

And, of course, you should choose the shade depending on your outfit. If you love eyeliner, draw a thin line of gray, blue, or green.

Brown-eyed girls, as a rule, initially have a brighter look than those with light eyes. Beige, pinkish-brown, beige-pink, olive shades, including those with a slight golden or silver tint, are well suited for highlighting brown eyes. The lighter the hair, the lighter the shadow color should be. If you are a brunette, then you can quite afford to use black eyeliner during the day, but again the line should be thin.

Green-eyed girls usually wear shades of warm pink, brownish, golden shades. It is better to prefer dark brown to black eyeliner. You can also opt for brown mascara. This is especially true for owners of red hair and fair skin, against which the black eyeliner looks inharmonious.

Avoid applying many layers of mascara during the day. Excess makeup is too noticeable during daylight hours. And the eyelashes on the lower eyelid can be completely dyed or slightly touched with a brush and mascara

Follow the basic steps for applying shadows:

  • prepare shadows in two harmonious shades – darker and lighter
  • apply basic lighter shadows to the upper eyelid
  • apply a darker shadow on the crease on the eyelid and blend, moving from the outer corner of the eye to the inner
  • draw a thin line along the lash line with a pencil or eyeliner of a suitable color
  • with a thin brush, draw a delicate line on the lower eyelid just below the lash line of the same color as the main shadow
  • gently apply mascara in one or two coats
