PSYchology

The planning of the day usually starts in the evening.

In the evening — draft

In the evening, write down on a piece of paper all the things that you would like (you need) to do tomorrow. This is both a setting and don’t miss anything in the morning.

Morning to-do list

Waking up and walking through the morning, feeling our condition, having received new input from both home and work, by the time things start, we usually understand that the to-do list made in the evening needs to be clarified and supplemented. Re-write a complete to-do list for today.

When compiling a to-do list, be realistic: firstly, there are only 16 hours in a day (minus sleep time), secondly, in addition to business, there is a necessary service (wash, eat), and, thirdly, leave some of the time for the unforeseen: Something always happens that cannot be predicted in advance. But it can be predicted that this will happen, and this time should be taken into account in advance.

Leave 2 hours of work time and 2 more hours of personal time for these force majeure events. This is a snap. With experience, you will know more precisely how much time you can plan, and how much you need to leave in reserve for everything unforeseen.

Set Your Priorities

1. First of all, arrange things that are fixed in time — meetings, meetings, training.

2. Then prioritize the rest of your tasks. The most important things should be at the top. See →

3. Be sure to insert sections of service and rest between them.

TM professionals use special methods to compile a prioritized to-do list of the day: see the Alpa Method.

Plan the day — write it down

Having dealt with the priorities, be sure to write down the plan of the day (to-do list). You can write a plan by hand, you can type on a computer and print, but you must have a Document. See Why you need to write down a daily plan.
