Dark laminate in the interior
The main disadvantage of a black floor is its ability to highlight even minor dirt. If the owners are not fans of daily wet cleaning, they will have to come to terms with the garbage that accumulates around the perimeter of the room.
The preferred finish is matte laminate. It is much more loyal to footprints, dust and minor damage. The latter on a glossy surface will immediately catch the eye.
A dark floor requires a clear thoughtfulness of the interior of the room. All elements must match perfectly in shades, otherwise the room will look like an inhospitable gloomy cave.
Laminate of deep colors is not friendly with small rooms. You will have to try very hard to visually expand the space, otherwise the option with the cave will be repeated. What can be done:
- choose light shades for the floor and ceiling;
- feel free to use mirrors;
- apply vertical elements to create the impression of a high ceiling;
- if possible, expand the window and correctly place the zone lighting.
A dark floor looks impressive in combination with furniture in any style.
