Danska is a popular alcoholic brand whose fame overcame the borders of Denmark at the beginning of the last century. Premium vodka is produced according to a unique recipe based on durum wheat of the highest class. The grains are sorted, carefully crushed and placed under a hydraulic press. After fermentation, distillation and rectification follow, then the alcohol is diluted with spring water. At the last stage of production, the drink is filtered three times with charcoal.
The undoubted advantages of Danska vodka include not only a pure and mild taste, but also the original packaging. Instead of the usual glass bottle, Danzka is filled in aluminum tubes. The metal holds the temperature well – the chilled drink remains cold for a long time, and does not break even with a strong impact, which makes transportation simple and safe. Therefore, the Danes call this vodka souvenir – tourists and guests of Denmark are happy to buy it as a gift. In 2008, for the design of Danska, she received silver at the international competition Drinks International.
The Danzka product line is rich in options: there is classic vodka and with fruit and berry additives: lemon, grapefruit, currant, cranberry.
About the manufacturer
The small Danish company Danish Distillers was founded in 1840. At first, she owned two distilleries in Aalborg. In 1872, the factories were merged into one plant, and since that time the owners S.F. Thiesen and S.A. Olesen began to buy up the Danish market for alcoholic beverages. By 1881, the lion’s share of this market was already in the hands of successful entrepreneurs. The merger caused a sharp decrease in the number of distilleries and distilleries. If in 1881 there were 2 thousand factories and workshops producing alcohols in Denmark, then by 5 there were 1923 of them left. They were also acquired by Danish Distillers, which soon changed its name to Danish Distillers Ltd.
The factory complex in the center of Aalborg, surrounded by the fjord, was built in 1931 by the famous Danish architect Clausen from red brick and does not need reconstruction. Despite the modernization and the desire of the current management of the company to maintain a high European level, part of the production equipment has remained unchanged since 1931. Danish Distillers Ltd. until 1973, it was a complete monopoly in the production of yeast and methyl alcohols, but then Denmark joined the European Union, which caused the disappearance of monopolies. The company’s products are imported by 140 countries.
