White rum – 45 ml
Lime juice – 25 ml
Sugar syrup – 15 ml
How to make a cocktail
Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice cubes.
Shake well.

Daiquiri is a whole family of cocktails that originates in Cuba. It was in the homeland of rum that many cocktails based on it appeared.
The original, classic recipe includes only white rum and lime juice, lightly sweetened with sugar syrup.
It was in this form that the cocktail was invented by an American engineer who lived in Cuba during the war with the Spaniards. He named his drink in honor of the Daiquiri beaches, which are located near the Cuban Santiago.
An interesting fact. Daiquiri was the favorite drink of the famous writer Ernesto Hemingway, as well as the assassinated US President John F. Kennedy. The president repeatedly mentioned this in his interviews, and Hemingway spoke about it on behalf of the heroes of his books.
There are many different variations of the cocktail. Some of them replace sugar syrup with some kind of fruit juice or fruit puree, others use lemon instead of lime, which makes the taste milder.
