Main indications: symptoms of menopause, a chronic disease that depletes the Yin of the Kidneys
In Chinese energy, this formula is used for Kidney and Liver Yin Void with Empty Heat.
Associated symptoms : hot flashes, night sweating, weight loss, fever in the evening, dizziness, tinnitus, heat in the bones, dry mouth and throat, heat in the palms of the hands and soles of the feet, insomnia, restlessness, red tongue, thin pulse and fast.
Dosage
Adult: 8 tablets, 3 times a day. A tonic should be taken for a minimum of one month. This tonic can be used long term as needed.
Comments
This tonic is widely used to treat symptoms associated with menopause: hot flashes, night sweating and insomnia. The Yin being Empty, it cannot retain the Yang. He develops an internal hyperactivity: hot flashes, heat in the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet, sensation of heat in the bones, insomnia, restlessness, nervousness and night sweating. The symptoms of Yin Void are also manifested in chronic consuming diseases: diabetes, tuberculosis, cancer, chronic hepatitis, etc. This formula contains substances that invigorate the Yang of the Kidneys (placenta, eucommia) to anchor the Yang, which increases the effectiveness of the preparation in preventing hyperactivity (restlessness, insomnia, nervousness).
History
The formula of this preparation is cited in the Jing Yue Quan Shu, a work written during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644).
