Czech Premium Light Lager (Czech Premium Pale Lager)

A group of pale lagers with a balanced, refreshing taste, rich malt and hop aroma, and a rounded profile. In fact, these are pilsners, but in the Czech Republic, the homeland of this beer style, only the original Urquell can be called a pilsner, so a different name was chosen for other brands.

The bouquet is complex, both malt and hop notes can prevail. Tones of spices, flowers, herbs are also felt. The color is rich golden, in the glass it forms a dense foam of cream color.

A distinctive feature of the style is a deep, rich taste with a clear hop bitterness and rounded sweetish malt tones. Sometimes there are hints of caramel.

The drink is medium-bodied, slightly saturated with carbon dioxide, not “carbonated”, the tongue does not tingle. It can sometimes be further carbonated with yeast or fermenting wort.

The original Pilsner Urquell appeared in 1842 when the market was in desperate need of a new style of beer. The intoxicating drinks produced at that time were so bad that a group of brewers once publicly poured a barrel of foam on the square.

Premium Czech Pale Lager contains Žatec hops, malt and lager yeast. The characteristic mild taste comes from the use of local water containing ions. The style is comparable to German Pils, but has a more intense flavor and deeper color. Stronger than a regular Czech pale lager.
