First, let’s figure out what a cushion is. Despite the fact that a fashionable beauty product only recently appeared on the shelves in Russia, cushion has been used for many years in Asian countries, in fact, this product was invented there.

Cushion is a soft sponge that can be impregnated with any cosmetic product of a liquid consistency, in most cases with a foundation.

A new type of tonal products is produced in compact packages – this is the main feature of the product. The sponge impregnated with the tonal product allows you to “draw” on the sponge as much of the product as is needed for an even coverage.

The first plus of the cushion is its compactness and convenience: it is convenient to carry the product with you and to touch up your makeup during the day.

The second plus is practicality. The use of cushion is absolutely hygienic, because the product is applied with a sponge, and the special packaging keeps the product intact.

– My skin is normal and never causes problems … except in the fall! At this time of year, neither hyaluronic masks, nor my favorite tonal foundations, nor creams and peels – just nothing saves me from dryness. The other day I ran into a problem that my favorite tonal foundation does not fit exactly on the forehead area. Therefore, I accepted the next tonal product without enthusiasm, but it turned out that I was very mistaken.

Expectation: I tested the first cushion a few years ago. Then this tool could be found in small online stores, and only Asian brands produced them. I tried and forgot. Cool new fashionable product, and nothing more. The second in my arsenal was the cushion, which completely disappointed me, therefore, looking at YSL, I “saw” only a beautiful case.

By the way, this brand always shoots for me: I have my favorite lipstick YSL rouge No. 1, a shade that cannot be found on the shelves, and one of the brand’s compact bronze powders has been on my shelf for five years!

Reality: Let’s start with the case – it’s really worthy of attention. The black plastic case with gold lettering looks minimalist, but expensive and beautiful at the same time! As in any cushion, there are two compartments – in one sponge, and in the other the product itself. I came across shade number 50, which matched the perfect color (there are 6 shades in total).

YSL cushion contains water and essential oils, hydrophilic and lipophilic elements, tamanu oil, which provides moisture and comfort to the skin.

The double-sided sponge for a lighter, more dense coverage delivers perfect coverage with a single application. LE CUSHION ENCRE DE PEAU fits my face perfectly without requiring a base, which is an important aspect. The product passed the test of dampness, rain and snow, dry air in the office and did not allow my peeling to show up in the light.

Rating: 10 of 10 points. This is the best remedy I have tested in recent months. I can easily advise you on this remedy and recommend the first time to apply the foundation on clean skin, without a base. YSL Cushion perfectly moisturizes the skin.

Cruchon? Cushion? What’s this? Something French, pleasant on the tongue. I have not tried such a “beast” yet. And I never get tired of wondering what the geniuses of cosmetic marketing are capable of. I was quite sure that the cushion was just a new form of the good old tonic. But I was pleasantly surprised.

Expectations: I don’t really like foundations, although I can’t boast of perfect skin. But no matter how light and non-greasy it is, I always, always feel that there is something on my face. And this something in the evening begins to irritate me terribly, the skin becomes oily, I want to run and wash. What attracted me to the cushion – the manufacturer promises that thanks to this special sponge and the correct sponge, the tone will be completely weightless, translucent.

Reality: as much as I would like to be a picky user, but … I am full of enthusiasm! I don’t know who came up with this form, but it was brilliant. Firstly, I really like that you don’t need to climb your fingers into the foundation. Secondly, a compact box from which nothing leaks. And the sponge with which you apply the product is worthy of individual squeals. It is equipped with a special elastic band for fingers, it is very convenient to hold it. Itself is silk, smooth. I blotted the sponge – a small amount of the product remained on the sponge. Which so easily and evenly lay on the skin that I did not immediately believe in what was happening. Considering that at the time of testing I was on a long journey, after a short sleep and a little Chinese, I got a wonderful complexion.

I also liked the texture – cream. Where the skin began to peel off from frost a little, the cushion coped without additional creams and foundations.

Yes, I know, some kind of luscious review turns out, but I really did not find anything to complain about.

Evaluation: 10 out of 10. This is a really great product that won’t be dead weight in your cosmetic bag.

– I wanted to try Cushon for a long time. Everything about this product attracted me: the unusual format, functions and the promised effect. And this despite the fact that I do not like tonal means. The most I can afford is a CC cream, a highlighter or a thin layer of powder. I would like to note that cushion is an ideal remedy for those who do not like a thick layer of “plaster” on the face, but at the same time want to make the skin visually attractive.

Expectations: Erborian’s description of the cushion says that it is the iconic BB cream with ginseng placed in a sponge. Cushion is designed to improve complexion, moisturize the skin, even out tone, hide imperfections and soften the first signs of aging. For me, it was important that the foundation sits well on the skin, does not strip, roll off and is not noticeable on the face. Plus it didn’t clog pores or cause inflammation.

Reality: sponge is the main disadvantage of this product. They are not very convenient to use because of the sharp edge. When I apply the product, I feel like I’m rubbing a piece of plastic over my face. True, despite this, an unsuccessful sponge quite well distributes the product over the skin. With it, you can get the thinnest coverage – this is a big plus. In general, the cushion allows varying coverage density from light to medium. The product masks imperfections and redness well if applied in the required amount. Cushion evens out the texture and tone of the skin, makes it fresher, does not emphasize flaking. But it quickly falls into the pores. Girls with wide pores and skin prone to inflammation should pay attention to this.

I also want to note that the Erborian BB-cushion contains silicones, and therefore it must be washed off with oil make-up removers. I use the hydrophilic duo from Babor. I think it was only thanks to this cleansing that the cushion did not clog my pores.

Rating: 8 out of 10. Minus points for uncomfortable sponge and ugly behavior with pores. Despite the downsides, I would not say that the product is bad. I enjoy using it and there is a high probability that I will buy it in the future.

– Do you remember the phrase from the popular film “What Men Talk About”, “… a toast cannot cost 8 dollars, but a crouton can”? So, for me, a beauty product bearing the proud name of cushion was associated with that very expensive dish in the French manner. That is, from the series “this is something in between a BB cream and a compact powder, only for a high price”. But when I came across a similar product from Dr. Jart +, I realized how wrong my ideas were.

Reality: our crumpled first acquaintance has grown not only into a strong friendship, but into love at first sight! I’ll start in order. Firstly, this is not just another BB remedy, but a cushion. That is, manufacturers have managed to combine foundation, moisturizing and powder in one compact package. Secondly, the packaging itself: stylish minimalist design, soft comfortable sponge and the presence of a porous membrane through which just as much is released as is required for one application. Therefore, the consumption of the product is very economical. And thirdly, the product has such a delicate creamy texture and so quickly adjusts to the skin color that it is simply invisible on the face. Good concealment of imperfections, skin hydration, no annoying odor and, most importantly, oily sheen at the end of the day became not just a pleasant bonus for me, but turned my idea of ​​foundations and powders in general.

Rating: 10 out of 10. The price, of course, is quite high, but the consumption of the product is also very economical. In addition, for the sake of perfect healthy skin color, you do not mind any money.

– To be honest, I have never used Yver Rocher decorative cosmetics, but I heard good reviews about it, so I was happy to test the opening of this fall – cushion.

Reality: first of all, I would like to note the very convenient packaging of a cushion with a sponge and a mirror. I liked that it is quite compact, it will fit even in the smallest cosmetic bag.

Now about the texture. Without exaggeration, she’s just incredible! Glides on evenly for a radiant glow. Moreover, it is very light. One gets the feeling that you are not applying a tone, but a light day cream. I was a little worried about the cushion shade, but it matched perfectly with my natural complexion.

During the day (about 9 o’clock) the novelty also behaved well: it did not spread and did not clog the pores. And after I washed off the product, the skin was moisturized and soft. In general, I was once again convinced that there are also excellent products among democratic brands.

Expectations: The compact fluid foundation fits easily into any purse, even the smallest one. But I hope that the benefits of the product are not limited to convenient packaging. Manufacturers promise gentle care, protection from UVA and UVB rays. This product is said to give the skin a natural glow and a feeling of freshness.

Reality: The test of cosmetics in Moscow November is a real test of durability for any product. That gusty wind, then rain, then snow, then all these delights of nature at the same time. From a long absence of heat and sun, the skin becomes dull and dry.

I apply the product in combination with various cosmetics. The best is the duet with Vichy makeup base cream (forgive me Lancome, but the base of their brand was not in my cosmetic bag). Miracle Cushion does its job perfectly. The skin acquires a natural glow, all redness disappears from the field of vision.

But in the absence of a makeup base, the fluid does not show itself from the best side. Applying the product requires more effort. The foundation does not lay down evenly. Tightness is felt.

The duration of the action is also disappointing. For the sake of fairness, it should be noted that Lancome warns in advance that the fluid lasts for about 4 hours, but I’m not at work for 4 hours, but all 8! At best … By lunchtime, my makeup needs to be tweaked. I take out the “powder box” again, and before leaving work, I repeat the same procedure, although not without a pleasant moment. Beautiful packaging, which also allows you not to get your hands dirty in the foundation, is, of course, a huge plus.

Rating: 6 of 10 points. Because it is difficult for a working girl to imagine that she will look into her cosmetic bag more than twice a day.
