When trying to eat healthy, some people are willing to spend a lot of money and take the time to find healthy foods. Meanwhile, many of the ordinary and familiar vegetables for the Russians’ table are really indispensable for health. These include cucumber, it is a source of structured water, identical to that circulating in the human body.

It is known that cucumber contains a lot of water – up to 97%, but not everyone knows that this is special water – organic, i.e. structured, just like the water that the human body contains. It is already difficult to find such water in any other natural sources – only in protected, ecologically clean places, of which there are very few left. Therefore, cucumber juice is just such a source of “living water” for humans, which additionally contains many essential vitamins, essential oils and trace elements, including iodine.
Natural cucumber juice contains a lot of fat-soluble vitamin A, which is a natural antioxidant, prevents the formation of cancer cells, inhibits the aging of the body, improves vision, strengthens the bones of the skeleton, contributes to the normal functioning of the respiratory, bladder, gastrointestinal and reproductive organs. Since this vitamin is of plant origin, it is called a carotenoid; undiluted juice of a raw cucumber contains 86 to 109 conventional units.
A cucumber weighing 200 g, together with the skin, contains 48 mg of calcium, and a glass of cucumber juice contains 17 mg, so their use helps to strengthen the skeleton, hair, nails and teeth. Calcium is essential for the synthesis of many important hormones, it strengthens the cardiovascular system as well as muscle tissue. In the same cucumber, the sodium content is up to 6 mg, and in a glass of juice – 2 mg. Sodium, but only in small amounts, is necessary to normalize blood pressure and active blood volume, it is involved in the formation of nerve and muscle tissue. An excess of sodium can cause an increase in blood pressure and the accumulation of excess fluid in the body.
But that’s not all – cucumbers and juice from them contain dietary fiber, so the regular use of these products helps to lose weight, improve digestion, relieve constipation, prevent hemorrhoids and duodenal diseases, and normalize cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
The healing properties of cucumber juice
The benefits and healing effects of drinking cucumber juice are literally evident. If you drink it constantly, and even use cucumber-based cosmetic masks, the skin on your face will become smooth, it will acquire a fresh look and wonderful color. Iodine, which is contained in cucumber juice, is easily digestible, therefore, doctors recommend drinking cucumber juice to prevent endocrine disorders caused by thyroid diseases. The antibacterial, antimicrobial and other beneficial properties of cucumber juice have been known for a long time; in folk medicine it was used to wash and treat wounds and ulcers, as well as for sore throats, colds and coughs.
But it should be borne in mind that there are contraindications for the use of cucumber juice. It can be harmful if you have gastrointestinal problems, gastritis, stomach or duodenal ulcers. It is not recommended to drink it if you have kidney stones.

How to make and drink cucumber juice
For the preparation of juice, fresh, not overripe fruits are used, it is better together with the skin, since the content of nutrients in it is especially high. Juice can be made using a juicer or simply by grating a cucumber on a fine grater and squeezing it through several layers of cheesecloth. Like any freshly squeezed juice, cucumber should not be stored, and it should be drunk no later than half an hour later, since its beneficial properties are lost upon contact with air. You can drink no more than 1 liter of pure cucumber juice per day, and no more than 100 g at one time.
