Black crowberry (crowberry) is an evergreen creeping shrub that grows mainly in the northern regions. The leaves of the plant are outwardly similar to spruce branches, but much softer. The berries are black and watery, with a sour taste. Voronica is widely used in folk medicine.

Crowberry berries and leaves have antiscorbutic, diuretic, sedative, tonic, antiseptic, analgesic properties. In the northern regions, crowberry is harvested in large quantities to be consumed during the long winter.

Crowberry fruits are used to treat nervous disorders during overwork. Berries improve the general condition of the body, increase immunity, reduce various kinds of pain, remove radionuclides from the body.

Berry juice is used to treat hypertension, migraines, seizures. They can treat acne and other skin inflammations. Add it to the composition of masks against hair loss.

Decoctions and infusions are prepared from the shoots of crows, which are used to treat kidneys, diseases of the central nervous system, and skin diseases.

To restore the nervous system, an infusion is used, which is prepared from two tablespoons of dry crowberry herb, filled with half a liter of water. The herb is put on fire and brought to a boil, then boiled for 5-7 minutes and left to infuse for an hour. The finished product is filtered and taken 4-5 times a day, three tablespoons.

The berries are harvested for storage in early September. It is cleaned, laid out on a linen or cotton cloth and dried under a canopy in a ventilated place. You can store dried crowberry for a year.

Voronica is used not only as a medicinal raw material, but also in cooking. Wine, marmalade, jam, preserves, pie filling are made from it.

You can prepare a soaked funnel. To do this, rinse it well, put it in a glass jar or wooden tub, and then fill it with ice water and keep it in a cool place.

To get juice, the berry is washed, crushed with a wooden spoon or rolling pin. Then the juice is filtered through cheesecloth and poured into clean jars, stored in a cold, dark place.

For the healing of abrasions and wounds, use the twigs of crows. They are dipped in hot water for a couple of hours, then taken out of it and tied to damage. After 2 hours, they are removed and replaced with new ones.

Young shoots of the plant are harvested during flowering. They are cut off, cleaned of debris, laid out in a thin layer on paper or cloth and dried in a dark place.
