Crassula has many varieties. They differ in color and shape. All plant species are equally undemanding to care.
Crassula varies in size and color of leaves. However, all varieties have common properties. The leaves are located oppositely on the main stem. The leaf plate is dense and smooth. The dissection is almost imperceptible. During the flowering period, inflorescences are formed on the plant, consisting of small groups of flowers. Stamens and petals are present in equal proportions.

For the unusual shape of the leaves, reminiscent of coins, the plant became famous under the name “money tree”. Crassula home is represented by several types that can be combined into groups:
- Arboreal – has strong woody stems. Initially, the shoots of plants from this group are tender and green. As they grow, they coarsen and become covered with thin tree bark. The stem is large. The height of an adult plant is about 150 cm. The green leaves have a contrasting purple border. Their surface is decorated with many specks.
- Groundcover – Plants form many thin flexible stems. They grow rapidly, creating a green carpet. The shoots twist and form an intricate pattern. These flowers can be used as ampelous.
- Columnar – has unique decorative characteristics. The leaves are connected at the base. This gives the impression of a braided stem. Plants are often grown in combination plantings.
The foliage of the flower is capable of disinfecting the air. Its use in food is not allowed. The leaf plate contains arsenic, which poses a danger to humans and animals if swallowed.
All varieties of succulents have advantages and disadvantages. Some of them are more demanding to care for. At home, they are most often grown:
- undulatifolia is a large tree, the length of which is about 1 m. The diameter of the tree trunk is 5 cm. The leaves are small. They are painted blue-green;
- lymphatic – creeping shrub. The height does not exceed 20 cm. The leaves are arranged in rows and have a scaly structure;
- perforated – the foliage is diamond-shaped and fits snugly to the stem. The trunk grows up to 20 cm.
Crassulae have a small root. They should not be planted in recessed pots.
The plant tolerates the lack of sun well. It does not need frequent watering. It is suitable for a novice gardener.
