Cranberry tincture and liquor: 6 recipes at home

Cranberry is a juicy and fragrant berry, it softens the taste and interrupts the smell of any alcohol, even if it is alcohol or moonshine of not the best quality.

Also, cranberry tincture can be made from frozen berries. Many even recommend pre-freezing cranberries, believing that such a berry gives juice much better. The drink itself turns out to be a beautiful raspberry color.

Classic cranberry juice recipe

This recipe is over 200 years old. It is still very popular today, as it is prepared quickly, and most importantly, simply.

At the exit, we get a rich aromatic drink with a strength of about 30-35 degrees.

Ingredients

  1. Cranberry – 1 kg

  2. Vodka – 1 l

  3. Granulated sugar – 500 g

Method of preparation

  1. We sort the berries, wash them, dry them a little and knead them with our hands or with a wooden rolling pin. You can also use a meat grinder or blender to speed up the process.

  2. We shift the prepared mass into a glass container and fill it with vodka. We leave for two weeks in a warm place.

  3. After two weeks, the drink must be filtered and covered with sugar.

  4. Mix well, close the lid and continue to infuse for another week.

  5. Now we pass the finished drink through the filter several times, bottle it, cool it and proceed to the tasting.

Cranberry tincture with honey

Ingredients

  1. Cranberries – 2 cups

  2. Vodka – 1 l

  3. Honey – 1,5 cups

Method of preparation

  1. We sort the berries, wash them, dry them a little and knead them with our hands or with a wooden rolling pin.

  2. We shift the prepared mass into a glass container and fill it with vodka. We leave for 10 days in a warm place.

  3. After insisting the drink, filter and add honey.

  4. We shake the container with tincture well and send it to a cool place for aging. This stage will take us about 1-2 months.

  5. Then the finished drink is filtered again and bottled.

  6. Fragrant cranberry tincture can be served at the table.

Cranberry tincture “Just a glass”

Ingredients

  1. Cranberries – 1 cup

  2. Vodka – 1 glass

  3. Sugar – 1 glass

  4. Water – 1 glass

Method of preparation

  1. We make a simple syrup from water and granulated sugar.

  2. While it is cooling, prepare the cranberries in any convenient way, which is described here.

  3. Pour the syrup into a glass jar, then pour in the alcohol base and, at the very end, lay the crushed berry.

  4. Cover with a lid and leave for a month in a dark room at room temperature.

  5. A month later, we filter the finished tincture, squeeze the cake, and then pass it through a purchased or home-made filter 2-3 times.

  6. After we bottle the drink, put it in the refrigerator, and then straight to the table for a good snack.

Quick cranberry tincture (3 hours)

Ingredients

  1. Cranberries – 300 g

  2. Sugars – 150 g

  3. Vodka – 700 ml

  4. Water – 300 ml

Method of preparation

  1. Cranberries fall asleep in a colander and pour boiling water over it.

  2. Now pour the berries into a jar, add sugar and crush with a wooden spoon or spatula.

  3. Then pour vodka and insist for about two hours at room temperature.

  4. After the time has passed, we filter the prepared cranberry tincture, squeeze the pulp, add warm water (45 degrees) to it and pass it through the filter several times.

  5. After the drink has completely cooled, it can be drunk. But it’s best to chill it first.

  6. Such a product can be stored for about a year in the refrigerator or cellar.

cranberry liqueur recipe

Ingredients

  1. Cranberries – 3 cups

  2. Sugars – 500 g

  3. Carnation – 1-2 buds

  4. Cardamom – 2-3 grains

  5. Alcohol or vodka – 750 ml

Method of preparation

  1. Place cranberries in a jar, mash, pour alcohol or vodka, close the lid tightly and leave for 3-4 days.

  2. Then strain the contents of the jar and squeeze through gauze in 4-5 layers.

  3. Mix the resulting liquid with sugar, put on fire and heat, but do not bring to a boil.

  4. Remove from the heat and dip the cloves and cardamom wrapped in gauze into it.

  5. After 5 minutes strain the liqueur and bottle it. Store in a cool place.

Plain cranberry liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Vodka – 500 ml (or alcohol diluted in half with water),

  2. Water – 150 ml

  3. Sugars – 150 g

  4. Cranberries – 145 g

Method of preparation

  1. Rinse the cranberries, let the water drain well, mash.

  2. Transfer to a jar, pour vodka or alcohol, leave under the lid in a dark place for 7 days at room temperature, then strain well.

  3. Cook sugar syrup from water and sugar, cool slightly.

  4. Mix cranberry tincture with sugar syrup, pour it back into the jar and close the lid.

  5. Leave for 1 more day. Strain, bottle for storage.
