ELLE DECOR designers know how to turn a country house into one sheer pleasure.
Painted ceilings, gilded walls, velvet curtains instead of doors – everything in this interior cheers up and distracts from the gray everyday life.
Cozy cottage
- Bright walls. In the living room, green walls, patinated with gold, attract attention. First, the wood was treated with a tinted impregnation, Cuprinol, then gilding, Tikkurila (gold is stretched along the wall with a brush made of coarse bristles). Chandelier, Baga. Chair and table, Giorgio Piotto. Forged stair railings are custom made.
- Cozy terrace. One of the main pleasures of dacha life is outdoor tea drinking. To make it more comfortable, the architects have provided a covered terrace. Cups can be conveniently served through the kitchen window opening here. The house is made of laminated veneer lumber from the outside treated with tinted impregnations, Tikkurila.
- The warmth of the hearth. The owners are very happy with the cast iron stove, Jotul. Compact, it can warm up a house with a double height space in just half an hour. Armchair, Giorgio Piotto. Couch, Cantory. Sconce, Baga.
- Handmade. Hand-made details make this interior unique. The kitchen is built of hand-molded clinker bricks, Egernsund Tegl (Denmark). The table top is cast in place from concrete and covered with glass. Refrigerator, Smeg. Stools, Kartell. Coffee machine, Casa Bugatti.
- Hand-painted. Interior doors are decorated with paintings with exotic parrots. At the end of the work, it was discovered that some birds have a portrait resemblance to their owners. But, as the saying goes, “all characters are fictional, any resemblance to real characters is a coincidence.”
- Lots of the world. A wooden false beam was thrown across the kitchen so that lamps, Moretti Luce, can be hung on it.
“Open wiring in retro style allows you to kill two birds with one stone – to protect the house from fires and to decorate the interior.”
- Classic bath. The bathroom is part of the hostess’s boudoir. Bath, Doctor Jet. Mixer, Bandini. The walls are clad with slabs (120 x 60 mm) from Revigres. Etched marble mosaic and mirror inlays, Cottoveneto. Tile with drawings by Piero Fornasetti, Ceramica Bardelli. Carpet, IKEA.
- The charm of antiquity. In the hallway, as in all other rooms, there is open wiring. Designers consider this to be the ideal solution for timber houses. “The wiring is easy to install and fix, and it gives the interior a vintage charm. Today you can buy any wire: black, multi-colored, gold. ” Retro style wiring and switches, Gambarelli and Aldo Bernardi, sockets, Fontini. Console, Giorgio Piotto. The screen was bought in the “Chinese style” salon.
