Covid-19 epidemic, stop smoking!

Fragile smokers in the face of Covid-19
In the daily Le Monde, Professor Van Der Werf (head of the laboratory for molecular genetics of RNA viruses and of the national reference center for influenza viruses at the Institut Pasteur) explains: “This coronavirus affects older people more and (…) people with risk factors like smoking. Indeed, the organism of smokers defends itself less well against viruses, such as Covid-19 right now, because he’s weakened. The immune system of a smoker is less effective than a non-smoker. The smoker is not necessarily more affected than another person by Covid-19. However, it is much more likely to develop a severe form, which may require respiratory assistance. To fight against the coronavirus in Spain, measures have even been taken concerning cigarettes. In some areas, smoking is prohibited, even in an outdoor area, if a distance of 2 meters cannot be maintained between two people.
It’s time to quit smoking
Tobacco and sexuality, blah!
Tobacco is also a disaster for sexuality. A single cigarette smoked decreases the quality of the erection for 5 hours. Blame it on carbon monoxide, a gas that immediately constricts the arteries. And while it’s less studied, it likely results in decreased vaginal lubrication in women for the same length of time. In addition, in smokers, the nocturnal erections being of less good quality, the erectile bodies deploy less each night and the penis would tend to become less elastic, so to see its erect size decrease very gradually over time. Perspective not very exciting.
And if, in the days or weeks to come, you had to work from home, avoid transport, stay at home, you wouldn’t be watching series all day. Having sex is much better for your health. And without cigarettes, believe me, it will be better!
Tobacco in general kills
One in two smokers dies from tobacco. And 2% of mortality is more than the 50% of the coronavirus! So, maybe now is the time to stop, it will allow you to buy masks and hydro-alcoholic gel with the money saved!
