Country house with an attic: 3 projects
We offer you three options for arranging an attic in a country house.
The attic can be used in different ways. But if we take into account the isolation of the attic space from the rest of the premises, then the most reasonable thing is to create a bedroom here.
Attic design project No. 1: Fabric and strings
Country house with an attic
When decorating this attic, finishing materials and textiles were selected in a single white and orange color scheme. And so that the dressing room would fit into the resulting interior, instead of hinged, sliding, folding or any other doors, they used … four curtain panels.
They were sewn from fabric of the desired shades and hung on two strings stretched at some distance from the ceiling and with a minimum “offset” from each other. The two side orange panels are not supposed to be moved from place to place – two central two-color curtains provide free access to things. To facilitate the movement of the canvases, they were supplemented with handles – eyelets.
To equip such a cabinet, you need two special curtain strings and four wall mounts that allow you to adjust the tension of the suspensions. In addition, a guide (say, a thin metal tube) must be sewn into the upper part of each curtain, and a rail must be sewn into the lower part, which will give the canvas stability.
The filling is matched to the mobile “doors”: the racks are equipped with wheels, so that they can be easily rolled to the desired place. But the hanger’s mobility is limited by the angle of rotation of the ceiling mounts.
Basket “BRANES” (IKEA, Sweden), 449 rubles.
In order not to clutter up the dressing room with boxes, a suspended section with cells was placed on one of the walls. It does not take up much space and is optimal for storing light footwear: tennis shoes, flip flops, slippers.

Attic design project No. 2. Folded doors
Floor lamp Tusscana 50 (Modiss, Spain), 18 840 rubles. Chair Monte Carlo (Donum Ventures, Germany), 9200 rubles. Flex Zone mattress (Ormatek), 13 100 rubles.
In this attic, two folding structures, assembled from six narrow canvases, have been turned into a “dividing strip” between two volumes – a dressing room and a bedroom. Such a solution is optimal for those who are used to opening the cabinet wide – the doors folded into an accordion provide maximum visibility. It is worth paying attention to the doors themselves: thanks to the low weight, the frame structures with lattice filling do not overload the fittings. In addition, it is convenient to place clothes hangers in the grid cells. And finally, even with the doors closed, light from the outside halogen lamps enters the inside of the dressing room.
If the height of the folding doors is less than the floor-to-ceiling distance, a simple cantilever structure is needed to mount the top rail. It is good if the carrier shelf is extended relative to the plane of the upper rail at the distance necessary to accommodate halogen lamps.
In order for light to enter the dressing room, metal elements were used to equip it. Supports are high frame frames. They were filled with drawers and connected with clothes rails.
For obvious reasons, it was possible to place only low-height frames against the wall formed by the lower part of the roof slope. But they were placed close to each other and thus created enough storage space.

Attic design project No. 3. Like on rails
Floor lamp (Hugo Honsel, Germany), 7100 rubles. Schelly armchair (BoConcept, Denmark), 48 rubles. Season Lux EVS 200 mattress (Ormatek, Russia), 500 14 rubles.
The layout of this space is simple: about two thirds of its area is occupied by an impressive double bed. But the most interesting is the decorative, constructive and functional solution of the dressing room, albeit of a rather modest size. It is separated from the main room by sliding doors. By the way, there are only two of them, not five, as it might seem. Three canvases are false panels that decorate the ends of the clothing racks. Well, so that the facade of the dressing room does not turn into a palisade of identical elements, different materials were chosen for the decoration of doors and panels – opaque glass and natural veneer.
The principle of operation of sliding doors is as follows: they move along a guide attached to the floor, for which there are rollers with a ball bearing mechanism in the lower horizontal profile. In the upper part of the vertical profiles there are wheels – together with the upper rail fixed to the ceiling, they securely hold the door in the desired position.
The material for the manufacture of shelving is steel coated with melamine film chipboard. Holes are made from the inside of each side panel for installing shelves. Thus, the number of shelves and their height can be easily varied.
Two sockets are installed inside the dressing room, because the closet turned out to be quite deep and it is difficult to navigate in it without artificial lighting. The light sources are small ball lamps mounted on the wall.
