Countries where tourists get fat

Rating of resorts from which extra pounds are brought.

This is how you sit on diets for months, lose weight for the holidays, and as soon as you arrive in another country, it’s as if the tower is being demolished. And it doesn’t matter how the swimsuit sits, you want to try everything that is on that menu!

As it turned out, there are countries in which it is easier to restrain yourself from an extra dessert, and, conversely, in other resorts you get fat by leaps and bounds. Where do tourists gain weight most often? This question was asked by the Russian travel service Tutu.ru.

It turned out that every sixth of the 2 thousand surveyed travelers brings home extra pounds from any country, if they had a rest on the “All inclusive” system. So the main blow to the figure is dealt by the resorts of Turkey, where this service is especially popular. Almost everyone who got fat abroad admitted that they had a rest in Turkey.

In second place in the ranking of countries that are fattening, Russia. The figures of 12% of respondents suffered from Russian cuisine.

Further, the same number of votes were won by the neighboring countries: Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan. 7% of the respondents got fat there. And this is not surprising. Where have you seen people lose weight on Georgian khachapuri, Belarusian potato pancakes and Uzbek manti?

Least of all gain weight in Israel, China, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Vietnam and India – only 4% percent of respondents.

But France, England and many other European countries do not appear in the ranking. Appetite, apparently, with the current exchange rate and rather expensive food in Paris, the appetite somehow disappears by itself.

On the other hand, every third of the respondents assures that they do not limit themselves to food while on vacation, and at the same time they do not get fat. Lucky ones, not otherwise. But every second admitted that he monitors food even on vacation, so he doesn’t carry extra pounds home. Only souvenirs.
