• At the end of the expiration date. Usually it is one and a half to two years after printing.
• If the surface is slick. The reason for this is the cream and sebum brought in by the puff. Bacteria in such a tool are hordes.
• As soon as the “clearing” in the center becomes more residue at the edges. It’s just not pretty.
• If the tool is broken – do not crumble.

How to save?

• Don’t throw away the translucent tab of powder or eye shadow. It keeps the softness of the products and the cleanliness of the mirror.
• Before powdering, blot your face. Then the surface of the product will not be salted.
• Replace applicators and sponges with brushes. They are easier to clean, last longer, blend better and are more pleasant to use.

• As soon as it loses its creamy texture: there will be no characteristic “comma” from the product on the tip of the brush.
• If there is a sour smell.
• If the mascara crumbles, smears under the eyebrows and forms lumps. Don’t expect it to pass tomorrow. This tool is simply not for you.

How to save?

• Close cap tightly. Very convenient means that do this with a click.
• Paint immediately after you take out the brush from the tube: the mascara freezes on it at the same speed as on the eyelashes. And regularly wipe it with a napkin, removing lumps and caked-on residues of the product.
• Do not work with a brush like a piston: this way you force air into the tube, and the mascara dries faster. Immerse it only once: the villi will capture exactly as much product as needed.
• Do not try to dissolve the cured product: water, eye drops, lotion or, God forbid, alcohol will break the formula. This degrades the quality and leads to allergies.

• At the slightest change in texture, smell and color.
• Having miscalculated with a shade, do not wait until you tan or turn pale. Give the tool to the person it suits.
• If the tone falls in spots, rolls or shines. You deserve better.
• Did itching or rashes appear after application? Throw out the “provocateur” immediately.
• Inconvenient packaging. Why get annoyed by shaking the product out of the bottle or pressing a hundred times on the pump? There are many tools with a comfortable design. And nerves are more valuable than money.

How to save?

• Wash your hands before each application of the tone in order to prevent microbial attack.
• Store in a dark place: bacteria multiply faster in the light.
• If you have collected too much money, do not try to return it back. It’s unhygienic!
• Resist the temptation to mix together leftover foundations from different brands. They may contain substances that do not get along with the components of competitors.

• Often, carried away by one shade, we buy its variants from different brands. Do you really need 15 pink lipsticks? Choose the most popular ones, and distribute the rest.
• Does lipstick dry out your lips? Do not subject them to such tests in the name of a pleasant shade. Moreover, the choice of comfortable, even super-matte products is huge today.
• Every woman should have scarlet lipstick. But if you use it once a month, why carry this tool in your purse?
• If you dyed your hair blonde, there is no need to take this burgundy gloss with you. He harmonized with dark hair. And now (together with them) remained in the past.

How to save?

• Lipstick is destroyed by both cold and heat. Do not keep it on the windowsill, in the car or in the refrigerator.
• The shelf life of lipstick or lip gloss is approximately 3 years. But it depends on the components in their composition. For example, if castor oil, which is resistant to oxidation, is added to the solid base of lipstick, then it increases.
• If a white coating appears on the lipstick, the smell or color has changed – throw it away!
• Does the product apply poorly on the lips, does it roll, become dry or viscous? So it is unusable.

Minimal set

Each of us has our own SOS kit in our cosmetic bag. For some, it’s just powder lipstick. And someone’s “minimum program” requires a whole bag. Makeup artists, on the other hand, believe that the best set for every day is a compact powder, matting wipes, eyeliner, mascara, gray-brown shadows that suit any clothes, eye and hair shade.

It is also worth getting peach blush, the stroke of which under the eyebrows instantly refreshes the look. Useful would be a concealer to mask minor imperfections, a nail file, a mini perfume bottle, tweezers and a mirror. After all, those that accompany powder or shadow quickly become cloudy. And, of course, lipstick – two colors will be enough.
